Graveside service will be on Monday, October 17th 10:00am at Olinger Chapel Hill Cemetery, 6601 S. Colorado Blvd. in Littleton.

April 22, 1963 "Tuesday night guests of Mr. and Mrs. Orville Lewis were Oren Kirkbride and Gifford Brown, Denver. Colo. They were called to Ravenwood because of the death of their brother, John Kirkbride.”
John Wesley Kirkbride, sr., 76, Ravenwood, died after a long illness at 3 p.m. Saturday in Kansas City where he had resided the past seven months with a son, John W. Kirkbride, jr He was born Mar. 5, 1887, in Gentry County, the son of the late John W. and Lizzie Needels Kirkbride. He was married Sept. 6, 1911, at St. Joseph to Grace E. Ross. Mr. Kirkbride was a member of the Ravenwood Christian Church, Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star. Other survivors include his wife of the home; two other sons, Max Kirkbride, Washington, D. C., and Rex Kirkbride, with the Marines in Japan; two brothers, Oren Kirkbride and Oscar Kirkbride; one half - brother, Clifford Brown, all of Denver, Colo., and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ravenwood Christian Church. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ravenwood.
November 11, 1963 “Mr. and Mrs. Orville Lewis returned home Nov. 4 after spending two weeks in Colorado and Wyoming. They visited Mr, Lewis’ sister, Mrs. O. M, Kirkbride, and Mr. Kirkbride, Denver, Colo.; their daughter and family, Mr*. Vernon Brown, Mr. Brown and daughter, Boulder, Colo.; a sister-in- law, Mrs. Ed Lewis, Torrington, Wyo., and a nephew and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Lewis and family, Van Castle, Wyo.”

Charles Edward Lewis, 76, of Torrington died at the Torrington Hospital Friday, April 20 1962. Last rites were held at the Colyer Funeral Home the afternoon of April 23 with Ted Chiller officiating Burial was in Valley View Cemetery in Torrington.
He was born July 15, 1885 at Parnell, Mo. and came to Wyoming in 1910 and had been a rancher in the northeast corner of Goshen County near Van Tassell until four years ago when he retired and moved to Torrington.
He was a member of the Jehovahs Witness Church. On June 10, 1908, he married Laura Seegrist at Whitney, Nebr.
Survivors include his widow, three sons, Lester of Van Tassell, Archie of Loveland, Colo., Lawrence of Harrison, and two daughters, Ruby Hebner of Phoenix, and Gladys McKelvey of Torrington. There are also two brothers, Marvin of St. Louis, Mo. and Orval of Guilford, Mo. and four sisters, Nora Kirkbridge of Denver, Bertha West of Vestapole, Calif., Dorothy Powell of San Diego, Calif., and Ruby Wilson of Ravenwood, Mo., and ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides all the children attending the funeral, other relatives coming were Mrs. Charlotte Brown of Boulder, Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Snodderly of St. Joseph, Mo., Mrs. Ruby Wilson of Ravenwood, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Orville Lewis of Guildford, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Seegrist of Alliance, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Seegrist of Bayard, Edgar and Warren Seegrist and Mrs. Dorene Dodd of Crawford, Ethel Seegrist and Emma Seegrist of Lusk, Mr. and Mrs. John Hammond of Kirtley, Mr. and Mrs. Elwin Seegrist of Hot Springs, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Lewis of Van Tassell, Garland McKelvey of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Seegrist of Van Tassell.

Nebraska. Karen five months old was born in Colorado.
In July 1944 former Eckley residents had a picnic in Denver. Among those
attending were Mr. and Mrs. "Orn" Kirkbride, Mr.and Mrs. Raymond Kirkbride
and children....
In 1949 the Eckley-Denver Entre Nous Club, composed of former Eckley ladies,
met with Mrs. Ethel Mason. The flower committee named was Nellye Weeks,
Marie Gilbert, and Nora Kirkbride.
1952 Eckley "Cliff Brown and Vic Kirkbride of Denver were in the vicinity
looking after the Brown farming interests north of here. First time Vic had
been back to the old home town for eleven years, noting a great many changes
in the vista of Main Street."
1957 Maryville "Mr. and Mrs. O. M. Kirkbride, Denver, Colo., came recently for a visit with his brother, John W. Kirkbride and Mrs. Kirkbride, and with other relatives in this vicinity"
Nora's father died in 1955 "August 18, 1955
"George Wildish. 72. Kansas City, died at 4 a. m. yesterday at a hospital in
Kansas City following a long illness. Mr. Wildish was a retired farmer of
the Ravenwood community and had more recently been a caretaker at Swope
Park. He was born Sept. 10, 1882 at Parnell, the son of Haron and Fannie
Bennett Wildish. He was married July 12, 1903 to Almeda Belle Lewis, who
survives. Mr. Wildish was a member of the Ravenwood AF and AM and the
Methodist church. Survivors include the widow; a son, Leslie H. Wildish,
Ravenwood; a daughter, Mrs. Charles W. Cassell, Kansas City; two
grandchildren: three great-grandchildren and a brother, John Wildish, Los
Angeles, Calif."
George's parents "George was born in Gentry County Missouri to Horace Wildish and Fannie Bennett.

Frances 1848-1908 # 117396388.
Little is known about Horace. He departed for America from Liverpool England and arrived in New York on the ship "City of London" on Apr 25, 1871. From there he made his way to Missouri and for a while settled in Andrew Co., MO. On Mar 8, 1881 Horace married Frances Bennett in Andrew County. They relocated to Nodaway Co where they settled and where both died. They had nearly 20 years together. No information has been found as to whether Horace and Frances had any children. "
June 14, 1960 Kansas City "Mrs. Almeda B. Wildish, 76, of 3622 Virginia, died yesterday of a stroke at St. Mary’s hospital. She was born in Gentry County, Missouri, and had lived in Kansas City 18 years. She was a member of the Christian church at Ravenwood. Mo.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Leona Cassel, 1432 East Eightieth; a son, Leslie Wildish and a sister, Mrs. Ruby Wilson Raven wood; three other sisters Mrs. Dorothy Powell, Colorado Springs; Mrs. Nora Kirkbride, Denver, and Mrs. Bertha West. Sebastopol, Calif.; three brothers, Orville Lewis, Guilford. Mo.; Marvin Lewis, Ravenwood. and Ed Lewis, Torrington, Wyo.; two grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Services and burial will be in Ravenwood."

were Clifford Brown and Shorty Kirkbride.
1967 Oren M. Kirkbride, Denver, Colo., formerly of Ravenwood, was presented his 50-year Masonic pin May 11 at an open communication of Ravenwood Lodge No. 201 AF and AM. Kirkbride, a resident of Colorado for many years, has retained his membership in the Ravenwood Lodge. Glen B. Goodson r ea d the Masonic record of Kirkbride, and Worshipful Master Norvil Henry presented Kirkbride to the public. District Deputy Grand Master Harry Nelson awarded the 50-year pin to Kirkbride. The Ravenwood chapter of the Order of Eastern Star served refreshments at the meeting.

June 29, 1970 Maryville "Orville Lee Lewis, 72. St. Joseph, formerly of Guilford,
died at 6:15 a. m. Sunday at a hospital in St. Joseph, where he had been a patient
one day following a three months illness. He was born Jan. 13, 1889, in Nodaway County,
and was the son of the late George and Christilda Stingley Lewis. He was married
Jan 12, 1921, at St. Joseph, to Miss Garnett Campbell. who survives. He was a retired
farmer and had lived near Guilford all of his life until moving two years ago to
St. Joseph. He was a member of the Guilford United Methodist Church and the Maryville
AF and AM Masonic Lodge. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the
Guilford United Methodist Church The Rev. J. J. Munshaw will officiate. Burial will
be in the Graves Cemetery, Guilford. Masonic rites will be under the direction of
the Maryville Masons, at the graveside.
Besides his wife of the home, he is survived by a son, Curtis L. Lewis, Graham;
four daughters, Mrs. Charlotte Brown, Boulder, Colo.; Mrs. Olive Jean Snodderly,
St. Joseph; Mrs. JoAnn Johnson, Prairie Village. Kan., and Mrs. Karen Sue Miller,
Savannah; 11 grandchildren, one great-grandson:
one brother, Marve E. Lewis, St. Joseph: and four sisters,
Mrs. Nora Kirkbride, Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Bertha West, Coquitlan, British Columbia, Canada; Mrs. Dorothy Powell, San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Ruby Wilson, Raven wood. The body is at the Price Funeral Home"
December 16, 1975 Maryville "Word has been received by relatives that Oren Kirkbride, 93, Denver, Colo., died Saturday in a hospital there. He had lived his earlier life in the Ravenwood community, owning a garage there at one time. About five years ago he received his 50- year membership pin from the Ravenwood Masonic Lodge. On Nov. 24 he and his wife, the former Nora Lewis celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. Kirkbride was a grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Cubbage Needels, early day settlers of the Ravenwood community. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, four grand children, several great-grandchildren and a half brother. A son, Raymond Kirkbride, preceded him in death. Funeral and burial services were held today at Denver."
