MARRIED - At the home of the bride's father near Haxtun on Wednesday evening, Miss Irene Arble to Mr. J.H. Barnes of Eckley, Yuma County. the ceremony was performed by the bride's father, Rev. W.B. Arble. Owing to Mr. Arble's feeble health the happy event was witnessed by only the bride's family and a very few friends. The bride is well known to our people who remember how faithfully she trained last year's high school graduates for the drama with which they closed their school work. During the past year she has been among the most successful of Yuma County's teachers. The groom is a hustling young ranchman of our sister county. They will carry to their new home the best wishes of the bride's many friends in Sterling. May life's fairest roses, with not a single thorn, ever be thrown in their path. - Sterling Advocate of February 16th.
