Benjamin Eggleston,    Armel

In 1880 Platte County, Nebraska, Ben J. Eggleston is 21, born in Pennsylvania, farming, boarding with William H. Dean.

Benjamin cash-claimed a quarter in 19, 3S 42W in 1890, and proved up a quarter in 17, 3S 42W in 1892, both across the road from Armel Breninger's land..

1900 Nebraska

In 1910 Colfax County, Nebraska, Ben is 51, married 27 years to Leontine, 57, with Lewis 25 married three years to Blanche. Earnest is 23, Don 17, Mary 15, all born in Nebraska, with Ben's widowed mother Lydia, 95, born in New York. Lydia has had nine kids, seven living.

Benjamin J. Eggleston 1859-1931 # 31028158 and Leontine (Anson) Eggleston 1852-1921 are buried in Platte County, Nebraska.


Mrs. Aurora McNurlin, age 91, of Sebeka, Minn., passed away Tuesday, January 27, 1976 at the Green Pine Acres Nursing Home, Menahga, Minn. She was born May 22, 1884 in Nebraska to Mr. and Mrs. Ben Eggleston. She was married to Thomas McNurlin of Leigh, Nebraska on December 28, 1904. They lived on a farm for several years, then moving to Sebeka where they made their permanent home. Fourteen children were born to this union. Her husband, one son, Leonard, and three infants preceded her in death. She has been a member of the United Methodist Church for fifty-three years; and a member of the united Methodist Church Women until her death. Mrs. McNurlin has been a resident of Green Pine Acres Nursing Home for nineteen months. She leaves to mourn her passing, ten children, Mrs. Albert (Hazel) Helm of Colona, Ill., Mrs. Rudolph E. (Jessie) Stelck of Sebeka, Minn., Marshall McNurlin of Sebeka, Ernie McNurlin of Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. Harley (Sylvia) Daggett of Minneapolis, Minn., Richard McNurlin of Minneapolis, Minn., Donald McNurlin of Dayton, Ohio and Mrs. Martin (Donna)Osterberg of Arden Hills, St. Paul, Minn.: twenty grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren; one brother, Don Eggleston of Detroit, Michigan and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 31, 1976 ay 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Sebeka, Minn., with Rev. Elmer Huchel officiating.

In 1923 Wray L. Eggleston, Jr. and W.L. Eggleston, Sr. were delinquent on taxes for their two quarters in 5N 47W.
