Joshua and Grace Leroy Scott Earl Walcott, Witherbee
Grace was born Nov 17, 1884 in Phillips County Kansas to Adam M. and Estella O. (Carson) Scott.
In 1910 Smith County Kansas she's married to Walter C. Earl, 30, and has Gertrude 2,and Clarence seven months.
She married Joshua Walcott June 29, 1918 in Holyoke.
They were living in Yuma County in 1920. Joshua 36, Grace L. 35, Mable R. nine months, and Gertrude L. earl 11, and Clarence E. Earl 10.
In 1930 Yuma County they Gertrude is gone, and they have Clarence, Mable, Robert E. 9, Edna E. 7, and Annabel 3.

| Robert Evon Walcott was born Feb. 2, 1921, on a farm, in northeast Yuma County, Colo, to Joshua and Grace (Scott) Walcott. As a young man he attended country school and high school in Holyoke, Colo. Bob enlisted into the Army on Sept. 2, 1942, and served in the Army Air Corp during WWII. He was stationed in New Guinea and the Philippines before being discharged in December of 1945. Bob returned to Phillips County, Colo. and later gained employment in Denver for a short time before marrying Ila Pearl Hiatt on Nov. 21, 1947 at St. Francis, Kan. The couple then settled in Phillips County and managed the family farm for several years before moving to Imperial, Neb. The family lived in Imperial several years while Bob worked for several different farmers. Following employment they again moved to Wauneta where Bob soon began his career with the Chase County Roads Department as a maintainer operator. He retired in 1986. Bob passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2004, at the Madonna Rehab Center, Lincoln, Neb. He was 83 years of age. Bob was a member of the American Legion Post #304, of Wauneta, Neb. He enjoyed many things including playing cards, watching sporting events of TV, and he loved to hassle and kid around with his grandkids which meant everything to him. Survivors include wife Ila of Wauneta, Neb.; four daughters Pamela Fricke and husband Glen of Wallace, Neb, Shirley Jones and special friend Ray Fletcher of Paxton, Neb, Carolyn Gerard of Lincoln, Neb. and Jody Robertus of North Platte, Neb.; sons Bucky Walcott and wife Mary of Lexington, Neb.; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sisters Mabel Carruthers of Holyoke, Colo, Edna Harmon and husband Everett of Holyoke, Colo. and Annabel Huston and husband Harry of McCook, Neb.; and very special friend Tod Fye. He was preceded in death by his parents, son John, grandson Joshua Jones, half-sister Gertrude Likens and husband Cecil and half-brother Clarence Walcott. Funeral services for Robert Walcott were Wednesday morning, April 14, 2004, at 10 a.m. (MDT) at the United Methodist Church in Wauneta with Pastor Michael Laing officiating. Interment followed at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Neb. at 2 p.m. (MDT). A memorial has been established in Robert?s memory. Liewer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
| Annabel Huston, age 83, died Saturday (March 20, 2010) at Hillcrest
Nursing Home in McCook. She was born on May 6, 1926 in Holyoke, CO to Joshua and Grace L. (SCOTT) WALCOTT. She graduated from Holyoke High School in 1942 at the age of 16. After graduation Annabel went to work for Fosters Lumber Company and Co-Op in Holyoke for 2 years. On August 16, 1944 Annabel was united in marriage to Harry James Huston in St. Francis, KS. To this union, three daughters were born. Annabel and Harry lived around Enders from 1946-1988. Annabel went to work at Enders Grade School as the cook. She also worked part time as a bookkeeper at the Farmers Co-op in Enders, bookkeeper for A & M Garage, Harry's Repair, Nebraska Games and Park (Enders Division), made drapes working for Peggy's Drapery Business in Enders, and worked as part-time clerk at Enders Café and Lakers Delight. After Harry retired from the Nebraska Games and Park, they moved to McCook in 1988. Annabel loved to sew, cook, and spend time in her vegetable and flower garden. Her favorite time was being with her children and grandchildren. She often played the piano for family gatherings and the whole family would sing together. Preceding her in death were her parents, Joshua and Grace Walcott; her husband, Harry Huston on Dec. 25, 2008; an infant sister, Mary Walcott and three sisters, Gertrude and her husband, Cecil Likens, Mabel and her husband, Van Carruthers, and Edna Harmon; and two brothers, Clarence Earl and wife, Minnie and Robert Walcott and wife, Ila. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Carpenter Breland Chapel in McCook. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook is in charge of arrangements. |
Gertrude Earl married Cecil Likens, and in 1930 they're in Yuma County, with Walter F. 4, E. Wayne 2, Phyllis J. and Fay J., both four months.
In 1940 Yuma County Cecil and Gertrude have only Walter, Wayne and "Fau K"
Cecil and Gertrude are in Nampa Idaho in the 1950's, in 1951 Cecil is an engineer at Samaritan Hospita.
