" I remember  Grandma Shaw as a fairly large woman, a good woman, who  really liked me- so I naturally liked her.  She liked to whistle or sing or hum a lot. She was very out spoken, if she wanted to say something about you - she would tell you whether you liked it or not, good or bad.  She was a good worker  and stout.

Her and husband, John had always been farmers I'm told.  They were both at our home at different times in their older years."
