Richard Wagner was born near What Cheer, Iowa, Sept 17, 1877 and departed this life a Yuma, Colorado, on July 28, 1948, at the age of 70 years, 10 months and 11 days. Mr. Wagner came to Yuma with his parents in 1892. That community had been his home except for about 10 years, which he spent in the community south of Otis. He was preceded in death by his wife and three children by a former marriage. On July 29, 1931, he was united in marriage with Wilma Atkinson and to this union were born two children; Iva Jane and Pauline. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Wilma Wagner; three daughters; Mrs. Inez Taylor of Denver, Iva Jane and Pauline of Yuma; a brother, Bill Wagner, Denver; six nephews: Stacy and Ulmont Wagner of De Nova, Herbert, Glen and Lloyd Wagner of Denver and Frank Wagner of Centralia, Wash., and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were held Friday afternoon, July 30, at 2 O'clock from the First Baptist Church in Yuma, and were conducted by the Rev. Orval Majors. Burial was in the Yuma cemetery, with all arrangements under the direction of the Paul Morris mortuary of Yuma. |
