They cash-claimed adjoining quarters in 1891 in 7, 2N 47W - about five miles northeast of Yuma. -
In 1870 Dane County, Wisconsin, Patrick and Mary O'Malley have seven kids. Cecillley is 9, and Frances 8, both born in Wisconsin..
In 1880 Cecilia is 18, "working in house" still with parents in Dane County. Francis is in Dane County, living with brother Michael and sister Katherine
In 1900 Dane County there's a Cecily and John Ryan on the same page as two O'Malley families. She has Regina - June 1895, son Francis August 1896, and Leo June 1899 - ALL THREE BORN IN NEBRASKA.
In 1910 and 1920 they're still in Wisconsin - John is a blacksmith and machinist. Cecily has had four children, two living - In 1910 they are Regina and Bernard
One tree has Cecily Stanislaus O'Malley born October 22, 1861, marrying John Ryan February 20, 1894, dying December 20, 1949 in Los Angeles.
California death index has Cecily Ryan, born October 22, 1861, dying December 20, 1949 in Los Angeles, and John Ryan, born September 6, 1864 in Wisconsin, died June 24, 1941 in Los Angeles.
and that Regina Teresa was born June 5, 1895 in Wood River, Nebraska, marrying William Heilman in 1921 in Dane County, dying in California.
John Ryan in 1880 Wood River -Hall County - is 15, born in Wisconsin, son of Thomas and Hannah Ryan.
1895 Omaha "Miss Anna Ryan of Wood River, who has been visiting friends in the city the past week, returned home Friday."
(maybe a sister ? Annie Ryan, born April 1871 in Wisconsin, is in Wood River in 1900 with brother Austin and Thomas. Their father Thomas, 70 is also there.)
One possibility for Frances is a Frances Mary O'Malley marrying John Edward Carney in 1893 in Rock Springs, Wyoming, dying in Utah, and having a son Vincent Patrick. Carney who said he was born April 5, 1896 in Green River Wyoming.
John was a locomotive engineer for the Union Pacific Railway and then Ogden Union railway
In 1922 Mrs. J.E. Carney still owned the quarter north of Yuma.
So both of the sisters had gone west - probably John got them cheap railroad fare.
