John and Matilda McDermott

John proved up a quarter in 34, 4N 48W in 1892, so he arrived about 1885

In  1899 and 1902 ANNIE McDermott was delinquent on taxes for that quarter - so maybe John died ? 

The 1907 Denver directory has a Miss Annie McDermott living at 4225 Raleigh. In 1930 Denver,is a widowed Annie McDermott, born about 1851 in Ireland, immigrating 1882.

Matilda did a cash claim in section 18 in 1890.

John McDermott was Hammond's original teacher in. 1892. He received $30 a month.

One possibility is the John McDermott in 1900 Denver, born Jun 1859, with Mary Oct 1858, both Ireland, with Mary K. May 1891, John T. April 1895, James J. Dec 1897, Rose A Jan 1898, and Elizabeth N Jan 1899 - all kids born in Colorado.

Elizabeth McDermott married Charles Thomas December 22, 1916

John Thomas McDermitt registered in Denver, saying he was born April 23, 1895 in Denver, was single, a boilermaker. John T. McDermott married Ruth M. Burgett in Denver April 27, 1925.

Another possibility is the John and Martha E. McDermott in 1880 in Mercer County, Illinois,  in Nebraska Custer County in 1885,. This
