Lawrence C. and Mary Stenona (Adkins) Miller, Mildred
In 1900 Harrison County, Missouri, Peter Adkins born October 1860 in Missouri, married 14 years to Ida K. August 1859 Indiana, have eight kids, all born in Missouri - Mary S. Nov 1885, Sophia Dec 1886, Rose Sept 1888, Martha M. March 1890, Viola Jan 1892, Emma March 1894, Jessie May 1896, and Christopher Nov 1899.
Peter died January 1901, buried in the Hamilton Cemetery, Decatur County. (Sophia married Artie C. Scott Dec 27, 1908 in Decatur County)
In 1900 Harrison County, Missouri, Franklin and Martha have Lawrence, born October 1881 in Missouri, Claude Claude Feb 1886 Nebraska, and Maude M. April 1891 Kansas. Maude married Grover Willis, who claimed land next to Lawrence.
Leon Iowa March 1912 "Lawrence Miller arrived Wednesday from Bogard, Mo., being called here by the serious illness of his mother, Mrs. Pierce Miller."
August 1914 Davis City, Iowa "Mrs. Ida Adkins and daughter Jessie returned home Sunday after an extended visit with her daughter, Mrs. Lawrence Miller at Mildred, Colo.

Leon Reporter, Leon, Iowa FRANKLIN PIERCE MILLER was born in Harrison County, Mo., June 28, l852; died at St. Joseph Hospital, where he had been taken for treatment Aug. 28, l92l, being 69 years, and 2 months old. He grew to manhood in Harrison Co., Mo., where he spent most of his life except about 11 years which he spent in western Kansas and 2 years with his mother in Pleasanton, Iowa. He was married to MISS MARTHA ANN ACTON, November 20, 1876, and to this union 7 children were born, of which 5 with their mother, have preceded him to the spirit world, two children remain, CLAUDE MILLER, of Akron, Colorado and MRS. MAUD WILLIS of Pleasanton, Iowa. July 28, 1917, he was married to MISS LILLIAN SWIFT, of Pleasanton, Iowa, who with the two children, 8 grandchildren are left to mourn the loss of a husband, father and grandfather. Deceased had been in poor health for some time and had been taken to the hospital for treatment. The body was brought home Tuesday to the farm west of town where funeral services were held on the beautiful lawn under shade trees he planted 2l years ago on his farm he had improved years ago, conducted by Rev. Elba Dale, after which interment was made in the Hamilton Cemetery.

Lawrence proved up two quarters in 6, 3S 45W in 1916, witnesses William C. Campbell, Archie Kindred, Walter Moore, and Arthur Stephenson, all with Mildred addresses.
December 1915
Wray, Colorado - January 20, 1916 "The infant baby of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence C. Miller, of Mildred, died on Tuesday of this week, after an illness of a week, from erysipelas. Funeral will be held Thursday."

Leon Iowa, October 5, 1916 "This community was saddened by the death of Lawrence Miller, of Brush Colorado, caused by typhoid fever. The funeral services were held here Saturday, interment in the Hamilton cemetery."
