John Hazard,    Mildred
 

John cash-claimed 80 acres in 26, 3S 45W in 1896, and the Arickaree ran through it for a half-mile.

There's  a John E. Hazard, a laborer for Wells Fargo, living at 1030 Wazee in Denver in 1893.

In 1900 Pima County, Arizona Territory, John E. hazard is a cook, born January 1858 in New York, living alone.

 Another John Hazard was in Omaha, Nebraska for every census from 1880-1920.

Another,  John H. Hazard, born Aug 19, 1860 in Missouri, is in Audrain County Missouri in 1910, married but no spouse.  His death certificate says he was the son of James K. Hazard and Priscilla Brunfield, dying in Audrain County Feb 19, 1940 - separated forty years.

In 1900 Denver a Jonathan A. Hazard, born Feb 1833 in New York married 41 years to Ashsa, May 1841 New York, is a life insurance agent.  He's buried in Fairmount, Denver, dying Jan 4, 1911.   Achsa died in 1917 and is also buried in Fairmount.

Jonathan Andrews Hazard, son of John Ballard Hazard (buried in Fond Du Lac, WI) and Mary Jane Loop Barton. He was born in Windsor, Broome, New York on 20 FEB 1833 and died 4 JAN 1911. He married Achsa Adelia Blatchley on 1 SEP 1858 (Diary of Jonathan Andrews Hazard 1852-1911, pg 16 "Sept 1: Achsa & I went to the school house & was married by H. C. Hazard") in Windsor, Broome, NY. They had 2 Children: Vesta J. Hazard and William Jonathan Hazard.

Jonathan was a loving and faithful husband and father. In his diaries he wrote of his love and affection of his wife and children. He was a true saint - always helping those in need. He was devasted the day his daughter Vessie died and grieved for many years. He never forgot his Wedding Anniversary or Birthdays of his loved ones; even when he was away on business.

"Jonathan A Hazard was born at Binghamton, NY, and came to Fond du Lac in 1868, where he began the real-estate business; four years later he added the fire and life insurance business, which he continued until 1878; dealing in real estate he has continued up to the present time; Mr. Hazard lived in Broome Co., N.Y., except one year in Steuben Co., until he moved to Wisconsin in 1868. He married at Windsor, N.Y., Dec 1, 1857, Miss Achsa A Blatchley; they have two children--Vesta J. and Willie J. Mr. H. is a member of the dicision Street M. E. Church; has been Alderman of the Fourth Ward, and a member of the City or Ward Committee ever since he arrived in Fond Du Lac."

Achsa Blatchley was born in Windsor, Broome County, New York, May 9, 1841, and married to Jonathan Andrews Hazard, Sept 1, 1858. There were two children, Vesta Jane McAltioner, who died in June 1892; and William Jonathan, professor of Electrical Engineering in the Colorado School of Mines.

Besides Professor Hazard's family there are surviving the granddaughter, Theodor McAltioner, wife of Lieutenant Elkins of Camp Funston; an invalid sister, Mrs. Mary Judd, who still lives at the home at 1740 Marian St., Denver; another sister, Mrs. Arthur S. Pierson of Apex, N. Y.; and a brother, Vernon C. Blatchley of Kirkwood, New York. 

In 1920 that land along the river for ten miles was owned by the Fox Bros, the Shields Family, E.H. Rutledge, and the Davisson family.
