Logan.
Fred cash-claimed a quarter in 10, 4S 43W in 1892, and proved up a quarter in 3 in 1899.
He was the Logan postmaster for a short period in 1890.
In 1900 Lansing precinct, Fred, born July 1856, married 13 years to Johanna, Sept 1862 Germany, have
John H. Dec 1887, Charles A. Oct 1889, Fred Sept 1891, Frank Oct 1893, Minnie Apr 1896, and Martha Feb 1899. All the kids were born in Colorado.
1902 Idalia items "About 520 head of cattle were dipped at the Loffel vat last Monday and Tuesday."
In 1904 he had a long sketch in the Wray Gazette.

In 1920 Saunders County, Nebraska, Hannah is 58, immigrating in 1885, naturalized in 1890. With her are Minna 22, a stenographer for the county superintendent, and Frank, 25, a railroad laborer.
Per FindaGrave # 119382990, Hannah "Loeffel" is buried in Boulder - Sept 21, 1881 -July 23, 1950.
FRANK
In 1940 Frank is in Sacramento, California, a floor man, divorced.
Frank August Loffel registered for WWII in Burns, Oregon, running a machine shop, born November 20, 1893 at Logan, Colorado, nearest relative Minnie "Elloitt" of Broken Bow.
In 1976 Frank Loffel of Broken Bow, Nebraska was a winter visitor to Brownsville, Texas.
Frank 1893-1992 is buried in Broken Bow, # 40372876. That FindaGrave says he was in the army in WWI.
FRED WILLIAM
When Fred registered in Fairmont, Nebraska, he said he was born September 25, 1891 at Logan, Colorado.
Fred is in Thermopolis, Wyoming in 1930, living alone, a contract laborer.
MINNIE
Minnie married James W. Elliott, and in 1930 Custer County, Nebraska, they're running a general store. James is 32, Minnie L. 33, married nine years. They have Thelma L. 8 and Harold W. 1.

Thelma Burnett, 89, of Broken Bow died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011, in Broken Bow.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow, with the Revs. Roger Sloan and Seth Bates officiating. Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
Mrs. Burnett was born on June 6, 1922, at Lillian, Neb., to James Walter and Minnie Louise (Loffel) Elliott.
She was married to Melvin Burnett on Nov. 7, 1943.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2006, and two sons, Victor and Marvin.
Survivors of the immediate family include three daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Dave Stunkel, Bonita and Rodger Ritchie and Sandy and Joe Shea, all of Broken Bow; a daughter-in-law, Patsy Burnett of Broken Bow; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

MARTHA
In 1920 Boulder, Martha is at the Boulder County Sanitarium.
A graveside service will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2000 in Estacada I.O.O.F.
Cemetery for Martha Lippincott, who died July 39 at age 102
Mrs. Lippincott was born Feb. 22, 1898, in Idalia, Colorado. Her maiden name was Loffel.
She was raised in Nebraska. She attended the Boulder Sanitarium, a nursing school in Boulder, Colorado.
She was a registered nurse in Colorado until moving to California in the 1920s where she was a nurse
at Paradise Valley Hospital in National City for about a year. She was then a homemaker and a nurse
in Colorado at the Boulder Sanitarium until retiring in 1970. She moved to Estacada
in 1978 and was a member of the Estacada Seventh-day Adventist Church.
In 1924, she married Paul Lippincott; he died in 1998.
Survivors include her son, Leo; daughter, Arlea Stern; six grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
The family suggests remembrance to the carpet fund at the chuch. Arrangements are by Estacada Funeral Chapel.
Martha E. Loffel Lippencott 1898-2000 is buried in Estacada, Clackamas County Oregon, # 28928629, with husband Paul Eugene Lippincott 1899-1998.
JOHN
John is in Musselshell County, Montana, in 1920, single, and in 1930 is married there. He died July 1971 and is buried in Billings # 91791604.
Billings, Montana July 7, 1971. "John Henry Loffel, 83, of 4071 Riverside Drive, died Monday morning at
his home. He was a retired cattle rancher who had moved from Musselshell County to Billings in 1955.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in First Congregational Church with the Rev. Kenneth Mitchell
officiating. Burial will be in Mountview Cemetery with Smith's Funeral Home In .charge. Mr. Loffel was born
on Dec. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Loffel. He moved with his parents to Fairmont, Neb., in 1904, then
homesteaded in Musselshell County in 1914. He married Miriam Adams on Dec. 29, 1919, in Billings.
She died in Billings on Aug. . Mr. Loffel had retired from cattle ranching in 1955. Survivors include
five daughters, Mrs. Wilfred Heraess, Mrs. Ruth Mattelin and Mrs. Arnold Thomsen, all of Culbertson,
Mrs. R. C. Klucek of Saratoga, Calif.', and Mrs. Charles Hearty of Cary, Dl.; three brothers,
Charles of Seattle, Fred of Cody, Wyo., and Frank of Broken Bow, Neb.; two sisters,
Mrs. Paul Lippencott of Longmont, Colo., and Mrs. Minnie Elliott of ..."
CHARLES
Charles Frederick Loffel is living alone in 1920 Musselshell County, Montana, 29, a salesman in a general store.
He married Blanch Esther Worthington July 15, 1922 in Musselshell County, saying he was born 1891 at Wray, Colorado to Fred Loffel and Hannah Schweigher.
Charles is in King County, Washington in 1930, with daughter Dorris, 5, born in Montana. He's a laborer.
Charles F. Loffel and Hulda C. Toskey married in King County October 112, 1935.
In 1940 King County, Charles is a ranch hand, 50, married to Hulda, 55. Doris L. is with them.
Charles died June 8, 1972 in Seattle. He's buried in Bellevue, # 6961913, with Blanche Esther (Worthington) Loffel 1902-1928 buried in Musselshell County.
