In 1920 Denver, Bernard has no occupation. Ella is 42, immigrating in 1889,
naturalized through her husband, with Ruth 12, Elsie 8, both born in Nebraska, and Carl, 6, born in Colorado.
In 1930 El Monte, California, Bernard 64, no occupation, and Ella 48 are living alone, and they're there in 1940, too.
Bernard died June 10, 1948, and is buried in Rosemead, California, Section E, Lot 18, Grave 02, per #26185159.
