Yuma County Pioneer Photographs:

George Washington and Hannah Melvina (Murphy) Liming, Kirk.

   George W. Liming (1848-1927) and Hannah Murphy (1849-1932) were both born in Georgetown, Brown County, Ohio. They were married October 18, 1866 in Brown County, Ohio. Their five children were all born in Ohio. Sometime after 1880 the family moved to Lawrence, Kansas and in 1906 came to Yuma County. George W. homesteaded 3½ miles southwest of Kirk. George T. and William established homesteads of their own 3 miles east of Kirk. George and Hannah are buried in the Kirk Cemetery.

George T. married Bessie Alice Graves, Natilda married William Harman, Elizabeth married Joseph Street, Mary Jane married Francis M Hitchcock and William B married 1) Ella Smart and 2) Nellie Doddridge Taylor.
