"Wilma Ruth Ingram a resident of Henryetta passed away on March 29, 2011 in Henryetta at the age of 80. Born November 30, 1930 in Idalia, CO to Willie and Ruth (Greenfield) Shepherd. Wilma married R.E. Ingram on Oct 14, 1949 in Henryetta and worked as a telephone operator until her retirement. She was a member of the Apostolic House of Prayer. Her parents preceded her in death, husband RE Ingram, 4 brothers: Ben, Leonard, John and Delbert Shepherd and nephews: Jerry, Richard and Billy Shepherd. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, April 1, 2011 at the Westlawn Cemetery with Rev. Scott Randall officiating. Services under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.

The gunshot death of a longtime Pittsburgh Plate Glass employee Thursday was declared self-inflicted by Assistant County Attorney F. C. Helm.. Funeral services are pending for W. H. Shepherd, 58, who died at his home southwest of Henryetta Thursday morning.. Helm said he died of a wound from a .22 caliber rifle which was found by his side.. Deputy Sheriff Dan Shepard conducted the investigation.. The county prosecutor said relatives told him the victim had been in ill health for some time and had been despondent.. He was found by his son, Ben Shepherd, who was doing chores around the place and had returned to check on his father.. Mrs Shepherd, the deceased's wife, was in town washing at the time, Helm reported.. Other survivors here include two sons, Leonard and John and a daughter, Mrs Wilma Ingram. Another daughter, Margarette, lives in Tulsa.. The deceased, who was born in Kansas in 1900, had been employed at PPG since 1933.. Additional survivors include a sister, Mrs Alice Hanson, Artesia, California, his father, George Shepherd, Hartshorne, California, and 10 grandchildren. . ********************************************.
