Yuma County Pioneer Photographs:

Jacob Houston, Lansing

Jacob cash-claimed a quarter in 11, 3S 43W in 1891. That land was owned by J.W. Hawthorne in 1920.   Given the many misspellings in the old cash-claim records, he might be a "Howston", or "Huston". Rosetta Amanda "Rosa" Houston married Henry Bruce Kenley, who claimed land a few miles away in 1892.

In 1900 Nuckolls County, Rosa said she was born October 1865 in Indiana, both parents born in Ohio.
