Alois F. Hinz married Theresa Fuhr in Omaha, Nebraska September 26, 1888. The Omaha newspaper listed it as Alvis F. Hinz of Idalia, Colorado and Therese Fuhr of Omaha.
That's a year sooner than the Therese Fuhr, age 21, "single", arriving August 5, 1889 from Austria via Hamburg at New York. With her is Rosa Fuhr "woman", age 30.

The Polk's Medical Register for 1890 has a Alois F. Hinz of Ironton, Ouray, Colorado.
The 1891 Theraputic Gazette has : "In 1889, Otto Mears replaced the toll road from Silverton, Colorado, to Red Mountain Pass, with the first of the railroads he would build. The Silverton Railroad was completed as far as Ironton, but ran into the steep canyons just north of town. The railroad never went any further north of Ironton, except a short branch to the mines in Albany, north of town. T he toll road above Ironton was much too steep for the Silverton Railroad to use as a roadbed. An electric cog railway was planned to connect Ouray with Ironton, but due to financial restraints, was never completed.
Ironton was quite a tame town, as towns went in the Red Mountain District. Red Mountain Town, to the south, was "livelier," and was equipped with at least 20 saloons. When a minister came to Red Mountain to establish a church, he was told in no uncertain terms to hit the road. He did, and when he suggested the same in Ironton, he was warmly received.
In November of 1891, one of the only churches in the region was dedicated. A prominent citizen in town even went as far as to purchase a new $2500.00 dollar organ for the new congregation. Many Sundays would find the Silver Bell Band, a group from a local mine, preforming at the services. These men were mostly of Cornish descent, and were said to be most pleasant singers. "
There are two possibilities - one, Dr. Hinz traveled to Ironton, either with his wife and newborn son, or the clerk or typesetter for the journal mistook WRAY for OURAY.
Franz Helling, who immigrated in 1883, and claimed land about ten miles south of , had four sisters. Marc Engemoen wrote that Franz, his great-grandfather, had a sister "Yetta" who married a Hinz and went to Red Willow County, Nebraska. That would be Wilhelmina Marie Henrietta (Helling) Hinz 1869-1941, who married Julius Hinz 1864-1952, and are buried in Ash Creek Cemetery. This Julius appears to have been from Germany, not Austria/Bohemia.

Alois cash-claimed a quarter in 31, 3S 43W in 1890, and with William B. Davis, claimed, by script, a quarter in 8, 4S 43W in 1892. William B. Davis, a "Lieut in Capt. Cook's (Morgan P. Cook) Company 2nd Regiment Tennessee Volunteers Mexican War - rights duly assigned to Alois F. Hinz."  William B. Davis was badly wounded in the Septembe 21, 1846 attack on Monterey.
