Alois F. Hinz, Lansing
In 1885 Saunders County, Nebraska, Alois Hinz is 24, a clerk in a drug store, living alone.Alois cash-claimed a quarter in 31, 3S 43W in 1890, and with William B. Davis, claimed, by script, a quarter in 8, 4S 43W in 1892. William B. Davis, a "Lieut in Capt. Cook's (Morgan P. Cook) Company 2nd Regiment Tennessee Volunteers Mexican War - rights duly assigned to Alois F. Hinz."
William B. Davis was badly wounded in the Septembe 21, 1846 attack on Monterey. But he might have survived, serving as a Major in the 1864 Tennessee Union volunteers.
In 1891 the Nebraska Medical Association listed A.F. Hinz of Carleton, Nebraska as a member.
Luisa Hinz, born in Carleton Nebraska, age zero,
died January 16, 1893 in Minneapolis, buried in St. Anthony Cemetery.

The 1894 directory has Alois F. Hinz, physician, 516 Guaranty Bldg, residence 15 Central Avenue, and "Theresa, aged 30, died March 11, 1894."
In 1895 Minneapolis, Alois is 38, born in Europe.
The Polk's Medical Register of 1896 has him still at 51o6 Guaranty Building.
The Chicago office of Holland-American lines in 1899 booked Master Carl Hinz, Master Alois Hinz.
In 1900 Minneapolis, Alois F. born January 1861 in Bohemia, is widowed. Helena M. Schultz, born April 1848 i Iowa, is widowed, a partner / housekeeper.
Lodging with them is Emma R. Schenk, single, saleswoman in a department store,
born January 1878 Iowa, and Carl Hinz Sept 1889 and Alois F. Hinz, Jr. April 1892, sons, both born in Colorado.
In 1905, Alois is a "Physician and Specialist - 202-204 Century Bldg, tel TC 2213, reisdence 815 Mary Place.
The 1907 directory has "Alois Hinz died March 28, 1907 age 46." Carl Hinz, a driver for J.P. Kinkel, lives at 815 Mary Place.
Minnesota death records have "Alive F. Hinz, born about 1861 in Austria, died Febraury 28, 1907 in Hennepin County.
"I do not show that Alois Hinz is buried in St. Anthony's Cemetery. I was able to locate his wife and daughter. They are both buried in single grave sections, meaning they are not buried with any family members.
"
When Alois F. Hinz applied for a passport in 1900, he said he was born in Lieboletz, Bohemia, February 22, 1861,
sailed from Bremen April 1881, resided nine years in Minneapolis, was a physician and lawyer.
Alois F. Hinz, age 39, born in Austria, received a Missouri medical certificate December 1, 1900, locality Washington, Franklin County, Missouri, graduating March 25, 1886 from Omaha Medical College.
In 1902 the Nebraska Medical Society listed A.F. Hinz - graduating 1886 - as practicing in Logan, Cal. (This very well could be Logan, Colorado, a post office operating 1887-1901 east of Idalia.
In 1906 the Bulletin of the University Of Nebraska College of Medicine reported "Dr. Alois F. Hinz, '86, of Minneapolis, Minnl, after taking a post-graduate course in Austria, is devoting his attention to dermatology and the associated diseases."
In 1911 Theressa Hinz was one of the owners taxed for land including lots in Wray, lots in Idalia, lots in Section 28, 4S 42W, Section 31, 5S 44W, Section 19, 4S 42W.
Per one tree, Alois F. "Hing" died December 31, 1929, graduating from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, Omaha, in 1886.

1909 Little Falls, Minnesota - School District 74 "Those absent two days or less were... Charles and Allo Hinz.."
November 1912 "Carl Hinz of Wood Lake left college for home, being
called there on acount of the death of his brother. " This is likely the OTHER Carl A. Hinz, a minister.

here, the guests of her brother, Joe Hollister and familiy.
He registered in Minneapolis, born August 28, 1889 at Idalia, Colorado, with a wife and three children, a dry goods merchant.
In 1920 Minneapolis, Carl is recorded as born in Minnesota. He's married to Katherine, both 30, with Katherine 7, Charles 5, Francis 3, and Gertrude 2.
In 1930 Minneapolis, Carl A. is 40, Kathryn F. 23, born in Iowa. They have Kathryn L. 18, Charles H. 15, Francis 14, Gertrude 12, Elenore 10, and John 7, all born in Minnesota.
In 1936 Minneapolis Carl is a driver for Ohleen Dairy, living at 3712 Bryant. Francis A., a laborer at Lakewood Cemetery, Kathryn L. an entertainer also lives there.
In 1940 Minneapolis, Carl is 51, Kathryn 52, Iowa, Charles 25, Francis 24, Gertrude 21, John 17, and Peggy 9.
Carl, born August 28, 1889 in Colorado, died March 10, 1953 in Los Angeles County, mother's maiden name Fuhr.
Charles H. Hinz - April 9, 1914 -Sept 23, 1984 is buried in Fort Snelling, Minnesota # 794308.
Francis A. Hinz, born 1916, enlisted in the Minnesota National Guard February 10, 1941, a sales clerk, single.

December 1951 "Mr. and Mrs. Carl A. Hinz of 3712 Bryant Ave., Minneapolis, recently announced the marriage of their daughter, Peggy Jeanne, to William Alexander Ems."
Miss Gertrude Hinz, sister of the bride, attended her as maid of honor.
1954 San Bernardino "Also present for the family gathering were William Ems, husband of Alice, and their son and daughter-in-law, William and Peggy Ems, of Los Angeles."
In 1952 Minneapolis Carl A. and Kath F. are living at 3712 Bryant ave, and
Gertrude M., an attendant, is at the same address.
So are John Q. (Stephanie) Hinz. John is in the Air Force.
Kathryn Frances Hinz, born March 12, 1885 in Iowa, died March 28, 1957 in San Bernardino County, mother HArrison, father Murray.

He's probably the John Quintin Hinz buried in Leavenworth National Cemetery 1922-1992 # 3671149.
