The KUK family, Landsman.

Gottleib 21 and Caroline 18 KUCK are on the Schiller arriving Dec 24, 1874, along with Johann 46 and Wilhelmina 48, with Christian 18, Faust 9, Magdelena 6

Frank Louis Kuk was born May 10, 1888 in Bon Homme County, South Dakota to Gootleiev Kuk and Croline Lang.

Gottleib Kuk cash-claimed a parcel in 13, 5S 44W in 1893.

In 1900 Idalia precinct Gottleib Keuk born Feb 1853 in Russia, has been married 27 years to Caroline September 1855 in Russia.  She's had 14 children, 11 living.  Daniel Feb 1882, Mary June 1883 both Nebraska, Frank May 1885, Henry May 1887, Lydia June 1892 - these three South Dakota, Ansel Aug 1894, Paul June 1896, and Minnie July 1897, all three Colorado.

Mary Kuk married Joseph Pfeiler April 18, 1904.

In 1910 Idalia they just have Lydia, Emil, Paul, and Minnie.

Daniel G. Kuk proved up 320 acres in 12 and 13, 5S 44W in 1914.

Lydia married Harry Thomas December 5, 1916.

1911 "Liddie Kuk returned to her home at Newton after many weeks at the Vogel Hotel."

August 1918 Emil Gustav Kuk of Hermes was called for military service.

Lydia (Kuk) Thomas proved up 320 acres in 1 and 12, 5S 44W in 1919

Frank Lewis Kuk registered for WWI in Wray.

In 1920 it's just Gottlieb B. and Karolina in Columbus, Nebraska

In 1920 Emil 25 is married to May,  20, and they have Earlene nine months.  Paul, Frank, and Dan are living with them.

In 1930 Denver Emil, a pipe fitter, and Mae have Monford, 4, and Daniel 44, a gardener in a private residence, is with them.

In 1940 Portland, Oregon Emil, a construction worker, and "Mary" have Montford, 14, and Richard 2.

Minnie Kuk married Fred E. Thomas December 20, 1920.

Paul R. Kuk proved up an irregularly-shaped tract in 13, 5S44W in 1923.  So three of Gottleib's kids claimed land.

Paul R. Kuk married Mattie J. Love March 10, 1925.

Frank is a section hand in 1940 Columbus, Nebraska, married to Ruby - probably nee Newman - Kuk.

Frank L. Kuk - May 10, 1888 - June 7, 1953 and Ruby M. Kuk Sept 11, 1888- Feb 7, 1946 are buried in Roselawn, Columbus, Nebraska.

In 1920 and 1930 Henry is a laborer in Denver, single, living in a rooming house.

Gottlieb 1853-1942 is buried in Saint Johns, Idalia
