James K. Kelley, John F. Kelley, Landsman.

John Kelly, 28 and Delila 26, are in Wolfe County Kentucky in 1880, with William H. 3, and George Lee 1.

In the Lucas cemetery is a stone "John Kelly - Nov 6 1847 - Sept 8, 1899"

In 1900 Wolfe County, Kentucky a John Kelley, Sep 1850 K sons George May 1879, James K Feb 1881, and Daniel B. Mar 1882 - all born Kentucky, loggers, laborer, teamster.  Daniel Boone Kelley registered for WWI in Denver, saying he was born March 2, 1886, an unemployed farmer, and nearest relative was John F. Kelly of Vale Ore.

1901 John Kelley, of McCook Neb. was a witness for Henry Norris' timber claim in 24, 3S 44W.

1901 Laird "Johna Hultquist, Miss Lehman, Jack Kelley, and Ive Clegg went to Denver Monday night."

In 1910 John F. Kelley, born in Kentucky, 59, father Tenn,  mother NC, is in Idalia, widowed.

James K.  29, also Kentucky, single, is in 1910 Idalia

Daniel, William and George appear to be in Wisconsin in 1910, and then all are out in Malheur County, Oregon - good places for loggers....

In 1920 James K. Kelley is in Malheur County, Oregon, married to Esme C. 24.  They have Aletha M. fifteen months, James B. seven months, and brother Daniel B. 36 is with them.  So is Abraham Z. Wilson, 22.

They're in Benton County Washington in 1930 - James 49, Constance E. 34, Aletha M. 11, J Benseon 10, George T. 9, Ua L. 6, and Clarence R. 3.

James Kinchen Kelley registered for WWII in Murphy Oregon, born Feb 27, 1881 in Campton Kentucky.  He's working for his brother G.W. Kelly on a farm.

February 26, 1909 "John Kelley and Matilda Wagner of Haigler, Nebraska, came to Wray last Friday, secured a marriage license and were married by Rev. A.J. McCulloch the same day"
 

1909 Landsman news "Lee Yount and family called on John Kelley's Sunday"

"Mrs.  Baily and daughter, Lilllian and son , Claude, visited at George Kelley's Sunday"

John proved up a quarter in 27, 5S 44W in 1912.  Esther P. Bailey was in Wray Monday, having come from her home near Newton, Colorado to be a witness in the John F. Kelley final proof of homestead.  J.J. Barber of Burlington was also a witness.

1912 "John Kible has completed his dugout and expects to move onto Mrs. Kelley's homestead north of Copper Kettle in the near future."

James proved up a quarter in section 26 - joining John's in 1913.

In 1910 James K. Kelley deeded the northeast quarter of 26, 5S 44W to Elizabeth Lengel for $1.00

James Kben Kelly - per FindAGrave died Jan 6, 1959 and is buried in Granite Hill Cemetery, Josephine County, Oregon
