October 11, 1963 Services for Mrs. Octa Captolia Ashliman, 68, of
Limon, who died Wednesday at Weld County General Hospital of injuries
suffered in a car-truck collision Sept. 21 at Prospect Valley, will be
at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Zion Lutheran Church in Limon. Interment will
follow at the Limon Cemetery. Adamson Mortuary is in charge of
arrangements. Mrs, Ashliman was born Jan. 10, 1895, at Newton, and
spent her childhood on a farm in Yuma County. She had lived in Idalia
and Limon the past several years. lie was married to Carl G. Ashliman
Sept. 13, 1913, at Burlington. Survivors, in addition to her husband
include seven children, Mrs. Elsie Brenner of Idalia, Mrs. Doris E.
Quiggle of Twin Falls, Idaho, Ronald Ashliman of Greeley, Mrs. Vera
Robertson of Simla, Orval Ashliman of Craig, ancd Sills and Irvin
Ashliman, both of Denver; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Hill of Greeley and
Mrs. Martha 1. Smith of Burlington; 17 grandchildren; and nine
great-grand-children - ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Orval Lee "Red" Ashliman died in his home in Colorado Springs,
Colorado. He was born July 21, 1924, in Idalia, Colorado, son of Carl G.
Ashliman and Octa C. Taylor Ashliman. ELLIS ``CY'' ASHLIMAN, 71, of Denver died Feb. 17. Services were Feb. 22, with burial at Hampden Memorial Gardens. Mr. Ashliman was born in Idalia on March 7, 1927. He married Doris L. Steele, 1947. He was a retired engineer from the Denver Fire Department. Survivors include his wife; son Monty of Hudson; daughter Jeanne Thompson of Littleton; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. |
