Jason S. Fahringer


In 1860 Columbia County, Pennsylvania, Henry Fahinger is 46, Mary 45, with R.E. 22, Sarah 17, Mary J. 11, J. 9, S. 7, and R. 1.
In 1870 Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, Henry is 59, Mary 58, Sallie 26, Mary J. 22, Jason 19, Ella 17, and Hannah 10.

Jason cash-claimed a quarter in section 9, 1N 42W in 1892, and another in 1893 - about three miles east of Laird.

In 1872 the Land Office paid Jason $7,200.95 for survey work.

In August 1837 Jason surveyed sixteen townships in Washington County, Colorado from 1N 49W to 4N 53 W.

In 1878 Jason S. Fahringer was paid $1,268.15 for survey work for the United States Land Office., and in January 1879 another $$2,730.98.

He must be the "James" S. Fahringer who married Lizzie "Grayham" July 27, 1880, recorded in Jefferson County, Colorado.

The Colorado archives has a record of H.S. Fahringer in 1885 Fremont County, age 33, born in Pennsylvania, page 45, but Ancestry does not.

Jason Fahringer 1852-1904 buried in Allen, Michigan # 22711798, with Elizabeth 1852-1916.

In 1900 Grand Rapids Michigan, Jason born Feb 1852 in Pennsylvania, married 20 years to Elizabeth April 1853 Michigan, have Rebecca M. Nov 1885 Colorado.
Rebecca's passport application in 1924 in Michigan said she was born at Canon City, Colorado Nov 26, 1885, and she married Edmund Prouty in 1911.
She married Edmund C. Prouty, son of Everett Prouty and Nellie Store. Her parents wee Jason S. Fahringer and Elizabeth Graham.


Jason's brother Adam Mark Fahringer 1838-1927 is buried in Denver # 15203091.
In 1878 A. M. Fahringer of Box Elder was at the Grand Central Hotel in Denver.

In 1880 Greeley, A. M. Fahinger is 40, a blacksmith, with Alice 38, Hary J. 8, Eddie 5, and May 3.

1884 Aspen Colorado "Adams M. Fahringer, of Denver, passed through Aspen this week, enroute to meet Mr. Rhodes, to make a joint correction survey in the Rock creek country."

George Adams Fahringer was born August 19, 1884 to Adam M. Fahiringer and Alice Atkinson in Denver.

Adams M. Fahringer was Deputy Surveyer for the August 1873 survey in township 10N 52W, Logan County, Colorado,
In 1886 Adam, of Denver, was a witness for the land claim of Charles J. Galick for land in 2S 58W, (Arapahoe County) Colorado.

In 1900 Denver, Adam is a civil engineer, born August 1840, married 33 years to Alice April 1850 , BOth in Pennsylvania. Edward Jan 1875 in Colorado, George August 1884, Luter March 1888, and Loyd August 1890 were born in COlorado. May is living with them, married to carpenter George Stillhamer from Illinois.
