Burt cash-claimed a tract in sections 5 and 6, 1N 42W in 1889 -
part of the town of Laird was in the southwest corner of his claim.
One Burt E. Cobb was a farmer in Vermont, but there's no connection to Colorado.
In 1885 Denver, Albt Cobb is an accountant, 41, with Jane 38, both born in Maine. Bertie is 13, born in Rhode Island, and Alfret Jr. 7 in Maine/

July 1884 Fort Collins "Mr. Royal Cobb finished shearing last week,
his wool crop amounting to 712 fleeces which he thinks will average six
and a half pounds each, or about 4600 pounds. In the absence
of home buyers Mr. Cobb expects to have to have to ship his wool to
eastern markets in order to dispose of it."
In 1885 Larimer County, Royal Cobb is farming, 59 born in Vermont, Eliza 45, with A.E. 31, both born in Connecticut.
January 13, 1898 Fort Collins "The ladies aid society of Boxelder gave
a very enjoyable oyster supper last Friday evening at the Boxelder school
house. There were oysters, good cheer and fun and pleasure for all.
Adelbert Cobb, clad in a big white apron, wooden shoes and mittens, with
his hair done up in a psyche knot, played the part of waiter to
perfection and was congratulated on his success by all present.
Tbe ladies having the matter in charge are: Mesdames G. E. Brooks,
Geo. G. Wilson, S. Underwood, Paul Johnson, R. E. Dotte, W. B. Baker
and L. J. Lamb. Mr. L. J. Lamb was there and finding oysters
too rich for his blood feasted on peanuts till his waistband gave way."
In 1900 Larimer County, Adelbert born June 1853 in CDOnnecticut is farming, and his mother Eliza A. Nov 1834 Connecticut have a boarder, Julius Hawin, 44 born in Germany.
October 21, 1903 Fort Collins
" Death has suddenly summoned Mrs. Eliza A. Cobb, widow of the late
Royal Cobb, from a life of devotion and usefulness, to that sleep which
knows no waking. Without a moment's warning the angel with the flaming
sword which clips the the brittle thread of life crossed her vision and
ten minutes later the spirit of a Mother in Israel, and one of the
gentlest of souls had crossed the border line of mortality and entered
upon the blissful existence of the immortal. Mrs. Cobb died at 4:30
o'clock on Saturday morning at the family home, 335 Linden street.
She was stricken but ten minutes earlier and though intense,
her sufferings were of but short duration, She retired the evening
before seemingly in the best of health and spirits,
with no thought that the fates had ordered that she should not
witness another sunrise, How true it is that in the midst of life we are in death.;"

Eliza A. Talcott was born November 4th, 1810, in Ellington, Connecticut,
and married Royal Cobb, Oct. 4th, 1832. Mr and Mrs. Cobb and their children
camo to Fort Collins in 1874. Mr. Cobb engaging at once in the business of
sheepraising and wool-growing. The family lived for many years in the
Middle Boxelder neighborhood, about five miles east of town.
Mr. Cobb died June 12, 1895 , and a few years later Mrs. Cobb and her son,
Adelbert, moved to this city which has since been the family home.
Two children, Mrs. John Willis of Timnath, and Mr. Adelbert Cobb
of this city, survive.
The funeral took place at 2 p. m. Monday afternoon at the M. E.
church, Revs. S. E. Ellis and L. C. Woodford conducting the sad
services. The body of the deceased was taken to Timnath for burial beside the remains
of the husband of her youth."

Dixon, Illinois "Mrs. Eliza Cobb, a sister of W. B. Talcott
of West Dixon and widow of Royal Cobb, died Saturday morning. Nov. 7th,
at her home in Ft. Collins, Col. She has visited in Dixon at various times and is known to a number of our people, who will regret to learn of her death."
December 1903 "Adelbert Cobb, so long identified with the furniture
business in the employ of W. T. Hollowell, will manage the Campbell ranch
southeast of town,
which was recently purchased by M. F. Tyler."
Adelbert E. Cobb, age 50, married Axie Adams, age 39, in Fort Collins Colorado January 29, 1906. The creemony was performed by minister L.C. Woodford of Fort COllins.
"A very pleasant affair occurred on Monday afternoon, January 29,
at the suburban residence of the officiating clergyman, Rev. L. C. Woodford,
in which Mr. Adelbert E. Cobb of Fort Collins, Colorado,
and Miss Axie Adams of Davenport, Iowa, were joined in holy wedlock.
Only the immediate relatives of the groom with a few friends were present
to witness the ceremony. Mr. Cobb is well and favorably known in and
about Fort Collins. His parents were among the earliest settlers on
the Boxelder, five miles east of here. Mrs. Cobb is a stranger,
coming here highly recommended, however, as a lady of culture and
refinement, with prepossessing manners, and will be a worthy
acquisition to society. Mr. and Mrs. Cobb will visit for a time
with his sister, Mrs. Willis of Timnath,
intending to locate in business in one of our neighboring towns."
In 1910 Larimer County, Wellington precinct, Adelbert is an undertaker, 35, married four years to Adie 43 Michigan. A niece "Percia Mable" 10 born in Michigan is with them.
Percie Axie Moblo, age 20, married Martin Vilhelm Olson, 22, i, both of Alma MIchigan in Gratiot Count Michigan September 2, 1919.
In 1917 Berthoud Colorado, the directory has Adelbert E (Axie) Cobb as an undertaker.
February 2, 1920 Fort Collins "Adelbert Cobb,
who has been ill for more than a year died at the home of his
brother-in-law, John L. Willis at Timnath, 2:30 Saturday afternoon,
following a long illness of heart disease. Mr. Cobb was 66 years
of age and is survived by his wife, two nieces, Mrs. Ralph Giddings and
Mrs. Robert Strang, and two nephews, Arthur and Harry Willis.
No arrangements have been made for the funeral."
Royal 1828-1895 # 102319714, Eliza A. 1834-1903 # 102319751, and Adelbert E. 1853-1920 # 102319787 share a stone in Fort Collins.
Axie was the daughter of John B. Adams of New York and Ett Maxfield of Vermont. Her sister Blanche I. Moblo died Feb 5, 1904 in Gratiot County, Michigan.
In 1880 Gratiot County John 44 and Ett 45 have "Achsch" 14, John 12, and Blanche I 9.
In 1930 Clayton County, Georgia, Axie Cobb is 62, living with niece Percie A. Olson, 30 and Martin 32, a refrigertion engineer.
In 1940 Axie is still with them in Saginaw County, Michigan - they were in Wayne County, Michigan in 1935.
Luella Augusta Willis 1859-1908 # 75885093 and John L. Willis 1856-1937 are also buried in Fort Collins. The note says "Moved from Timnath Burial Ground in 1919."

Strang), Leila Alice (b. 7/11/1894, d.6/29/1904), Laura Eliza (b. 8/21/1896, d.7/12/1898). Farmed 2.5 miles north of Timnath."
