In 1860 Boone County, Indiana, John W. Billings is 10, with William 36 and Sarah 28. M J. is 11, John 10, Mary A. 9, Phebe A. 7, Benjamin S. 3, and Rebecca E.2.

Joseph M. Billings 1823-1866 is buried in Clay County, Illinois # 23433298.
In 1870 Clay County, Illinois, Sarah is 37, Benjamin S. 13, Rebecca C. 11, Milton L. 9, Minerva C. 8, Amanda 6, and Adinah A. three months.
Sarah A. Billings 1829-1907 is buried in Clay County # 23506385.
(Sarah Jane (Billings) Smith 1849-1930 is buried in Edmond, Oklahoma # 75092103.

Adinah A. (Addie) Billings Rhoads 1870-1941 is buried in Superior, Nebraska # 32789289.
Phoebe Angeline (Billings) Switzer 1852-1944 is buried in Hettinger County, Neorth Dakota # 127567030.
Mary Ann (Billings) Young 1851-1942 is buried in Clay County # 22812997.

M.M. Nunamaker, 20, married J.W. Billings in Washington County, Kansas on September 9, 1875.

Margaret is in Washington County in 1880, 25, born in Illinois, married to John Billings, 30, born in Indiana, farming, with Tenia B. 3 and Elvinia 1, both born in Kansas.

In 1885 Washington County, J.W. is 36, M.M. 26 (wrong), Tena 8, E.V. 6, and P.P. 3.

John proved up 80 acres in 15, 1N 42W in 1897 - right on the Nebraska border.
He timber-claimed another quarter in 28, 2N 42W in 1896.

He was delinquent on taxes in 1900.
John's 2N 42W claim was in the same section as John Nunnamaker's claim.

He might be the Billings who was a candidate for Yuma County assessor in 1897.


PURLEY

Perley Billings is farming in Wilmington, California in 1920, 36, born in Kansas, with Annie 36 California. They have Mildred F. 7 and Melba M. 5. Annie's widowed mother Fannie Francis 66 born in Portugal, immigrating in 1892 is with them. So is her sister Rosie M. Mele 32 widowed, and daughter Bernice F., 9.

In 1930 Purley is a carpenter, 49, with Anna L. 47, Mildred F. 17, Melba M. 15, Laura M. 10, and Anna M. 4.

Purley P. Billings, born April 21, 1882, died in Los Angeles County Nov 24, 1961.
He's buried in Wilmington, California # 128736155, with Anna Leona 1882-1963.

Melba M. Hasko was born Dec 11, 1914 in Los Angeles, dying April 3, 1978.


TENA

In 1900 Adams County, Nebraska, Tena Cary, born Dec 1870 in Kansas, married seven years to Fred Cary, a merchant, born March 1864 in New York, have no kids. Her sister Vina Oct 1879 in Kansas is a sales lady. Fred's brother Wheeler Cary 37 is a laborer.
John 50 and Minna 55 are in Los Angeles in 1910, with Perly 27. She's buried in Glendale, California 1855-1927 # 148348588, with John W. 1849-1914 # 148348580.

LAURA

Laura M. Billings married Raymond A. Fulmer on May 13, 1903 in Kenesaw, Nebraska.

Laura M. Fulmer is in Adams County, Nebraska in 1910, 26, born in Kansas, married eight years to Raymond Fulmer, a telegraph operator, 29 born in Nebraska. They have Lucile L. 6.

When Raymond registered for WWI in Adams County, his reference was Lucille, his daughter.
In 1920 Adams County, Nebraska, Ray is 39, now married to Myrtle G. 28 born in Nebraska. Lucile is 16 (so she's in the census twice- once in Nebraska and once in Los Angeles.

Raymond is buried in Nebraska with Myrtle.
In 1920 Los Angeles, Tena B. Cary 40 and Fredrick S. Cary 52 have Anna M. 18. ALSO their niece Lucile L. FUlmer 16 and her husband Margret M. Billinsg 65.

Laura Lucile (Fulmer) Haynes 1903-1988 is buried in Rancho Palos Verdes, California # 37817248.
