Born Jan. 20, 1903 in Warren Center, he was the son of the late Dana A. Abell and Mary Allyn Abell. Mr. Abell was a retired employe of the Thatcher Glass Works in Elmira and was a member of the firm's 25-Year Club. He was a long-time resident of the Elmira Heights area. Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Leslie (Clarice) Simons of Bing-hamton and Mrs. Russell (Carol) Jones of Warren Center."
