Olio and Hattie (Collier) Vaughn , Joes
In 1910 Mercer County, Missouri, Sheriden H. Collier is 36, Rose 34, with Hattie 13, Clara 12, Williee 9, Jodie 7, Harry 2, and newborn Mabel.
In 1910 Decatur County, Iowa, Arthur Vaughn is farming, 53, with Ellen M. 49, both born in Missouri. All eight of her kids are living. Osear R. is 22, Orville E. 20, Ollie I. 18, Otto A. 15, Jettie 13, and Sheila R 11.
In 1920 Decatur County, Olle I. is 27, Hattie 23, Ivan 5 in Iowa,
Earl 1 in Colorado and Chester two months old in Iowa. They're next to Oscar R. 32 and his wife Ruby B. 36.

In 1940 Yuma County, Ollo I. is 48, Hattie B. 43, Ivan I. 23, Irl F. 22, Chester H. 20, and Paul J. 18. They're next to Hugh J. Vaughn 52 born in Kansas and his wife Marion T. 51 born in Kansas.
Olio Ivan Vaughn, long-time resident of Joes, passed away at the Yuma District Hospital on June 2,
1979, at the age of 87 years.
Olio, known as Bill, was born February 25,1892 at Lineville,Iowa. He was born fourth of a family of seven
children,to Arthur Francis and Ellen Melissa Campbell. He was wed to Hattie Viola Collier at Princeton, Missouri on
November 5,1913. Four sons were born to this union, Ivan of Joes, Earl of Woodland Park, Chester, who preceded
his father in death in 1963, and Paul of Denver.
Bill Vaughn was a farmer all of his life in Mercer County, Missouri, Decatur County, Iowa, and Yuma
County, Colorado. He maintained a keen interest in baseball, and promoted and managed teams in the Joes area
where all four of his sons played the game. During one period of his life he contributed his services on the local
school board. In recent years,he lived in retirement in Joes.
Surviving, are his widow, Hattie; three sons, Ivan, Earl, and Paul; one brother, Ottie A. Vaughn of Leon,
Iowa; Ivan's three sons and four grandchildren; Earl's two sons and four grandchildren; Chester's two sons, one
daughter,and six grandchildren; and Paul's three sons, one daughter, and One grandchild.
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning, June 6 at the Morris Spellman-Baucke Chapel.
Interment was made in the Yuma cemetery.
