In 1880 Republic County Kansas, Prosper H. Schofield is 35, born in New York, Fannie 32 New York. Orrie 8, John 6, Winfield S. 3,and James P. 1 were all born in Kansas.

Prosper F. Scofield 1844-1934 and Fannie M. Scofield 1848-1929 are buried in Belleville, Kansas.
"Sada" appears on the 1895 census with them in Kansas, age 13.

In 1880 Nodaway County, Missouri, James Moss is 29, Sarah 27, Emma 6, Laura 4, and Dara 1.
They're in Edmond, Oklahoma in 1900, James 50, Sarah 47, Dora A. 22, Ida B. 18, and Virgil 4.

Laura Rebecca (Moss) Huff 1877-1948 is buried in Nodaway County # 88616406.

In 1900 Nodaway County, Missouri, Warren Scofield born Aug 1871, married one year to Emma J. April 1875, have Harman Sept 1899.

In 1910 Yuma County, Warren Scofield is 38, Emma 35, married 11 years - this is Emma's second marriage. She's had three kids, all living. Herman R. is 10, and Gladys is 40.

Warren proved up a quarter in 23, 4S 47WW in 1912, witnesses Charles H. Kimrey, Samuel B. Kern, Andrew D. Norstrom and Edward J. Smith.

In 1920 Yuma County, Warren and Emma, still farming, have only Gladys, 14.
April 1925 "Mr. and Mrs. Warren Scofield have moved from the place they homesteaded to the Jesse Brown house, southeast of Joes.

October 18, 1928 "Mrs. Warnie Scofield and Mrs. Dora Norstrom received word last week that their father in Missouri was very seriously ill. Mrs. Scofield hbut recently returned from a visit with him."

In 1930 Warren is a school janitor, he and Emma alone.

April 1925 "Herman Scofield and family have moved a house to Joes and are repairing it expecting to make this thier home.

In 1910 Yuma County, Andrew D. Norstrom is 36, born in Kansas, Dora A. 31 in Missouri. They've been married eight years, and have Alva 3, Oklahoma. Andrew's parents Olof 58 and Anna 59, both born in Sweden are with them, Olof immigrating in 1869, Anna 1870.
They're next to the Warren Scofield family.

Andrew proved up a quarter in 27, 4S 47W in 1912, with the same witnesses as Warren Scofield, and on the same day in 1912.
April 16, 1925 "Olaf Norstrom, father of Andrew Norstrom, died last Wednesday and was buried Thursday in the Mount Hope cemetery. He was quite feeble, having been in very poor health of some time He was an old settler in this community.

November 1928 "The Ladies Aid took in over $30 at the Norstrom sale last week. The Norstrom family left Thursday for their new home near Wichita, Kansas."


In 1930 and 1940 Yuma County, Andrew and Dora are alone, farming.

Next to Lawrence is Clifford Scofield, 22, born in Colorado, with Mildred L. 22, Colorado, Lu E. son 3, and Richard M. 2, both born in Colorado.
