In 1905, Geo. S. is 72, Mary 43, Oscar 17, Jonathan 14, Ida 10, Dean 8, Roy 7, Etta 4, and Betsa 2.

In 1915 Woodson County, "May" Dickinson is 52, with Roy 16, Etta/Ella 14, Dean 18, and Bessie 11.

(Bessie is in Gregory County, South Dakota in 1920, 15, married to Cleo Brandenburg. Bessie Hazel (Dickinson) (Brandenburg) Babb 1903-1997 is buried in Wheatland, Wyomjing # 80163748.
Jonathan is is Gregory County, too, 29, with Maude J. 29, both born in Kansas. Hellen is 8, Thelma M. 5, also born in Kansas. Len Babb is a boarder ....
Mauda was in Woodson County, Kansas in 1905, age 14, with parents Albert Rollins 41 and Lizzie A. 29. Lizzie is 29, and there are two Strand kids, Carl 7 and Anna O. 4.


In 1900 Maudie was 9, sister Georgie 7, in Lafayette County, Missouri with G.T. Isom 24 and Sarah B. Isom 27.

In 1930 Holt County Nebraska, John A. Dickinson is 39, Maude J. 39, with Helen M. 18 and Thelma 16 - so that might be why Roy's wife was there in 1928.

George Sullivan Dickinson 1830-1909 is buried in Woodson County # 56225624.

OSCAR

In 1880 Woodson County, Kansas, DeWitt C. Bennett is 39, born in New York, with Mary J. 32 Canada. Georgia A. is 10, Alva E. 8, Mary E. 6, Frank D. 2, and Allie two months.

In 1900 Woodson County, Kansas, D.C. Bennett born July 1841 in New York, married 32 years to Mary J. December 1847 in Canada, farming. Allie March 1880, Elva August 1882, Coral October 1884, Jesse April 1886, Hazel March 1888, and Jennie Sept 1890 were all born in Kansas.

April 1922 "F.D. Bennett, who has been visiting with his sister Mrs. O.B. Dickinson and family and attending to business matters in this city for a few days, left on the afternoon train las Friday, bound for his home at Hutchinson, Kansas."

DeWitt C. 1840-1922 died in Yuma County, per # 26557087, and is buried in Woodson County, with Mary Jane (Adams) Bennett 1847- 1928, # 5472027.
Oscar B. Dickinson, age 22, married Hattie Hazel Bennett, age 21, on February 23, 1910 in Vernon, WOodson County, Kansas.

This has to be the Hazel Dickinson dying 1914, buried in Yuma # 48944619.

Oscar registered for WWI in Yuma County, farming, born August 21, 1887 in Yates Center, Kansas.

In 1920 Yuma County, Oscar is a hardware merchant in Joes, with Hazel, both 32 born in Kansas. George D. is 7 born in Kansas,and Bernice Utter 12 daughter born in California.

June 26, 1924 "Mrs. Oscar Dickinson was visiting with her sister, Mrs. Ridgeway, Monday."

In 1925, O.B. Dickinson was the night marshal at Joes, and was "asked by long-distance telephone to arrest one Walter Wilson on a charge of assault to kill Dr. J.H. Beckr, a resident of Joes, an inland village some thirty miles south of Yuma."

October 6, 1927 "Grandma Bennett spent the weekend at the O. B. Dickinson home."
"Grandma Bennett, Mrs. O. B. Dickinson and Mrs. J.R. Bennett and baby Normalee, spent the day Tuesday at teh J.H. Shaaede home."

February 7, 1929 "Mrs. O. B. Dickinson visited with her sister Mrs. Henry Scharde Wednesday afternoon.
"Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Scharde called at the O.B. Dickinson home last Thursday evening."

In 1930 Joes, Colorado, Oscar is farming, 42, Hazel 42, and George is 17. They're living with Hazel's sister Georgia Ridgeway 60 born in Illinois and her husband Henry 64 born in Missouri. Georgia runs a hotel, Henry is farming.

January 7, 1932 "Mrs. Lena Fadenrecht is in charge of the Dickinson store this week while O.lB. is in Denver, and Mrs. Dickinson is kept home by illness."

Oscar is in Skagit County, Washington in 1940, a bucker in a logging camp, with Hazel both 52.

The next household is George Dickinson 27 and his wife Beulah 28 and their two kids both born in Washington.

November 2, 1961 "Mesdames Maurine Hagan and Alice Laybourn drove to Yuma on Saturday to visit their aunt, Mrs. Hazel Dickson of Sedro Wooley, Washington. She had just received word that the baby daughter of her son, George at Kent Washington had passed away. The child was not yet one year old."

October 19, 1967 "Mr. and Mrs. George Dickinson and son, Jack, brought Mrs. Hazel Dickinson, George's mother here from "Edro Wooley, California" for a visit with relatives in Yuma."

When Hazel's sister Jennie (Bennett) Long died in October 1968, Hazel was living in Anacortes, Washington.
May 10, 1923 Joes items in the Yuma Pioneer "Miss Bertha Bennett and Mr. Alex Jones were married at Wray on Wednesday of last week."

In 1930 Yuma County, Bertha C. Jones is 25, born in Kansas. Alex is 33, born in Kansas. William E. is 6, Norman S. 5, Elizabeth S. 3, Martha E. 2,a nd Doris C. newborn.

Alex B. 1896-1982 and Bertha 1904-1978 # 29152197 are buried in Umatilla County, Orwegon.

Clarence Lee Roy Dickinson registered for WWI in Meadow Grove, Nebraska, born April 6, 1898, a farm laborer for Paul Carson. His nearest relative was Mrs. George Dickerson of Meadow Grove.

Clarence married Elsie Belle Chambers on October 11, 1919 in Gregory County, South Dakota. Both were 21, residents of Bonesteel, Gregory County.

In 1920 Gregory County, Roy C. is 21, born in Kansas, with Elsie 21. His mother May Dickinson 54, widowed is with them, and his sister Ellen 19 born in Kansas.
(Mary J. Dickinson 1861-1929 is buried in Woodson County, # 56225707. So is George Sullivan Dickinson 1830-1909 # 56225724.

Next household has Thomas A. Chambers 58 and Martha 54, with Bertie A. 18 and Ralph 15.

February 12, 1925 "Little Ralph Dickinson is quite sick."

September 3, 1925 Hughes items "Mr. and Mrs. Roy Dickinson are the proud parents of a baby girl, which was born August 20. The little one's name is Martha Mae."

Elsie Belle (Chambers) Dickinson - June 9, 1898- March 4, 1927 is buried in Gregory County, South Dakota. # 59183519 says she died in Boyd County, Nebraska.

Ethel Marie Joy, 21, married Clarence LeRoy Dickinson, 30, a widower, on November 24, 1928 in Gregory County, South Dakota.

In 1930 Gregory County, South Dakota, Roy is a laborer, doing odd jobs. 30 born in Kansas, Ethel 23 in Nebraska, Clarence 20 and Violet 8 in South Dakota, Ralph 6 and martha 4 in Colorado, and Virginia nine months in South Dakota.

In 1940 Skagit County, Washington, Roy is farming, 42, Ethel 32, Clarence 19, Ralph 16 (this census says he was born in South Dakota), Martha 14, Virginia 10, Dean 8 in South Dakota, Bessie 4 in Nebraska, and Eva 2 in Washington.

Ethel Marie (Joy) Dickinson 1907-1989 is buried in Skagit County # 6194993.
So is Clarence LeRoy Dickinson, Sr. 1898-1987 # 6194979.

MARTHA

Martha "Marcy" Iund, 90, of Stanwood, Washington passed away at her home on May 12, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born on August 20, 1925 in Joes, Colorado, the daughter of Roy and Elsie Dickinson. In 1945 she met and fell in love with Ray Iund and they were married for 61 years. Martha is survived by her four children and spouses, Rusty and Di Iund of Chehalis, Kitty and Bill Voth of Sedro-Woolley, Dee Graham of Stanwood, and Raymond Iund of Puyallup; nine grandchildren; Tammy Woodard, Lisa Marie Kindle, Dustin and James Anderson, Christina Cash, Gordon and Matt Graham, Raelynn Iund, and Becky Schwartz; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; two brothers; four sisters; and numerous extended family members. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Iund; her parents; two brothers, Clarence and Ralph Dickinson; two sisters, Virgina (Dickinson) Nieshe, Bessie Marie (Dickinson) Nerell; son-in-law, Michael Graham. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 11:00AM at the Hamilton Cemetery.
