John married Susan Cook March 29, 1866 in Williamsburg, Iowa Co., Iowa. Children Anna May Remley Goerke Martin (d. 1945), Mary Isabel Remley Thompson (d. 1931), Clara Elizabeth Remley Browning (d. 1947), Charles Remley (d. 1874), and Florence Remley (d. 1877)."Anna died in 1908 - "Miss Mabel Thompson of Colorado, whose operation for appendicitis last Thursday afternoon was briefly mentioned in our last issue, died from septicemia at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Wiest in this city about 1 o'clock Monday afternoon. The body was at once taken to the family home in Colorado, whence the remains were interred in the Armel cemetery on Tuesday. Miss Thompson was very popular in her home neighborhood and a large concourse of sorrowing friends followed the remains to their final resting place. The sympathy of all is extended to the bereaved parents in this hour of their deep affliction." Source: The St. Francis Herald, March 26, 1908, page 5" Henry H.
