The Morning Oregonian, Portland, Multnomah Co., OR, Saturday, May 23, 1931 KENNEDY - In this city, May 21, Laura Kennedy, aged 81 years, wife of George Kennedy; mother of Mrs. Ethel Belknap and Roy Kennedy of this city, Mrs. Freda McMinn of Santa Monica, Cal., and Mrs. Clara Oldaker of Kimball, Neb. Funeral services will be held today (Saturday) at 3:30 P. M. at the Conservatory Chapel of A. J. Rose & Son, East Side Funeral Directors, Inc., E. 6th and Alder Sts. Commitment Lincoln Memorial Park crematorium. George Scott Kennedy died August 6, 1932 in Portland Co., OR at age 84. Clara S. Kennedy was born February 1870 in Ogle County Illinois, per one tree, to George Scott Kennedy and Laura Catherine Blake, and it said her brother Floyd B. Kennedy born 1896 died 1905, and is buried in Jaqua, Cheyenne County, Kansas. # 139926702 George S. Kennedy cash-claimed a quarter in 27, 3S 42S (that's KANSAS) in 1891, and proved up a quarter in 9, 4S 42W in 1895. She is a graduate of the Univer sity of Nebraska where she is of music in Chieai Shi' I ( as, member of IM H. - ta Phi .sorority Mr. Oldaker attended I . versity and is in the U. S. postal service at Kimball.
1944 "Miss Marcclle Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe M. Davis of Hastings, was married to S. Sgt. Lynn C. Oldaker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Oldaker of Kimball, Wednesday, Jan. 26, at 5 o'clock at the Congregational church in Smith Center, Kas. The Rev. I. N. Faurot performed the single ring ceremony before the members of the immediate families. Mrs. Oldaker is a graduate of Hastings high school and of the University of Nebraska, where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi .sorority. She has been teaching kindergarten in Kimball. She is a past honored queen of the order of Job’s Daughters and was guardian of the same order in the Kimball bethel. Sergeant Oldaker attended Denver University in Denver. He has just returned from 18 months service in central and west Africa where he was in the adjutant general department postal service."
Lynn C. 1907-1993 and Marcelle 1916-2007 are buried in Kimball.
When Royal Charles Oldaker registered for WWI, he said he was born April 19, 1889 in Kimball County..
