John cash-claimed 120 acres in 3, also in 1890.

They might be the Henry F. Gilfrey in 1880 McDonough County, Illinois, 64, married to Mary C. 44,.  They have Lewis F. 22, John T 19, Harry H. 16, William A. 13 and May E. 8.  All kids were born in Illinois.

One tree said Henry died in 1891 in Nebraska.  BillionGraves has H. Gilfrey - Nov 6, 1815- March 2, 1891 buried in Arlington, Nebraska.

In 1900 Washington County, Nebraska, John Gilfrey born Jun 1861 in Illinois, married six years to  Emma M., Feb 1872 Missouri, with Mary T. January 1895, Major J. June 1896 and a boy born May 1900, all three in Nebraska.  Leroy McCoy, Oct 1881 Iowa, is probably Emma's brother.

Mary Emma Gilfry 1873-1906 is buried in Arlington, Nebraska  # 44835804.

In 1910 Washington County, Nebraska, John 48 and his sister Mary E. 38 have Mary F. 15, Major G. 13, Wilford L. 9, and Lizzie L. 7.

Wilfred Lionel Gilfry registered in Morgan County, Colorado, born May 15, 1900, farming for J.T. Gilfry.

In 1930 Morgan County, Colorado, John T. is 69, widowed, farming, with a 24-year-old hired man.

Wilfred is married in 1930 Morgan County, Thelma I. 28 with Coleen S. 2.

In 1947 they're in Petaluma California, where Wilford is a welder.  Wesley J. and Coleen S. live at the same address.

Wilfred L. Gilfrey 1900-1947 is buried in Petaluma # 126065600.

John Tomson Gilfry 1861-1943 is buried in Brush # 70727190.  So is son Major J. Gilfry 1896-1980 and his wife Shirley 1897-1983.  Major Gerald Gilfry married Shirley Louise Menking May 23, 1923, recorded in Morgan County.

Evelyn Lavina Gilfry married Ray Edward Menking March 28, 1923, recorded in Morgan County.

Harry H. Gilfrey Had Been Arlington Resident Since 1883

Harry H. Gilfrey, 70, a resident of Arlington for fifty years, died suddenly Monday evening, October 16, in Arlington; it was learned in Blair Tuesday. Mr. Gilfrey, at the time of his sudden demise, was engaged in work at the Fred DeWeber home in that town.

By trade a plumber, Mr. Gilfrey in his half century in Arlington had acquired a reputation as an honest and upright citizen, and his passing was mourned by all who knew him. He was a member of the Arlington Woodman Camp.

Mr. Gilfrey is survived by his bereaved wife, whom he married August 26, 1892, one son, Rhea Gilfrey, of Omaha; one sister, Mrs. Mary Unland, of Hemet, California; two brothers, John and William Gilfrey of Snyder, Calif (SHOULD BE COLORADO).; three grandchildren; and a large number of nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon at the Arlington Methodist church, with Rev. Ralph Rasmussen officiating. Rev. A. J. Edgar of Syracuse, a former pastor, assisted.

Burial was made in the Arlington cemetery by the side of his son, Dr. Ralph Gilfrey, who preceded his father in death by two years. Pallbearers were James P. Rhea and son, Don Rhea; William and John Gilfrey, brothers of the deceased; Wilfred Gilfrey, a nephew; and Harry Osterman.
