Samuel Fremont and Louisa Frances (O'Neal) Taylor, Heartstrong
History of Schuyler County Thomas McKee and Willis O'Neal were the first settlers in Bainbridge Township. In the fall of 1823 they came to Schuyler County from Kentucky and built their cabins six miles south of the Hobart settlement, where the entire population of the county, numbering perhaps a score of people, was centered. Thomas McKee built his cabin on the northeast quarter of Section 20 and Willis O'Neal located on Section 16. . Willis O'Neal later moved from Bainbridge and settled on the present site of Rushville, and took a prominent part in the affairs of the county in the early years of its history. Simon P. O'Neal enlisted during the 1831-1832 Black Hawk War.
Semon P. O'Neal married Matilda Glenn August 3, 1833 in Schuyler County, Illinois.
Matilda's father Henry Glenn, for
his wife took Miss Ruth, daughter of Jacob Rhoades, of Germany, who was
born in Mason County, Ky., Jan. 8, 1790. Their children, nine in number,
were named respectively: Robert A., Fielding T., Archibald A., of our
sketch, William H., Samuel R., Matilda, Amanda M., Elizabeth and Sarah.
In 1821 Mr. Glenn moved to Indiana, and settled with his family on a
farm in Decatur County. Two years later he changed his residence to
Johnson County, and in 1828 removed first to Vermilion County, Ill., and
then to Schuyler County, in the latter of which his death took place in

In 1970 Brown County, Illinois Frances is 16, with parents S. P. - a laborer - and Matilda O'Neal. The next household is Charles and Jane Huff, with children George 18, Hiram 13, Grant 6, and Alma 4.
Her brother Willis O'Neal, born about 1841 in Illinois, served in the 16th Illinois, was in Kearney County, Nebraska in 1880 and 1885. Died February 1915 in Leavenworth, Kansas, and "Body was shipped to Holdreth (HOLDREGE) Nebraska for burial" He's buried in Minden 20532229.
I am looking for evidence of my grandfather Clark Taylor being born in Greene County. I am sure his younger brother, Samuel Fremont TAYLOR, was born 24 Jul 1857 in Greene County. My grandfather, Pardee/Pardy Filmore TAYLOR, was born 11 Jun 1855. His father was Creed Samuel TAYLOR and his mother was Mary Ann (CLARK) TAYLOR. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

.In 1920 his sister "Louye" Wood 52, and her husband Jefferson D. Wood, 59 are in Russell County, Kansas, with Louye's daughters Vida Likens 13 and Idona 11, both born in Kansas. Abby 1866-1960 and J.D. have a stone in Lucas Cemetery, Russell County. Vida McMullen and her husband Victor are buried there too. Idonna -Aug 27, 1908 - May 17, 2005 - and Randall Leach are buried there too,.

In 1940 Samuel Fremont Taylor is widowed, living with daughter Ethel and George Huff in Harlan County, Nebraska.

Orin G. Taylor died Sep 19, 1952 and is buried in Fort Logan, Denver. The application for a gravestone had his next of kin as Mrs. Ethel Huff, Oxford, Nebraska.

are buried in Oxford, Nebraska.
Fred, born March 5, 1888 in Stafford Kansas, is back in Stafford for
registration, married with two children. He was a wagoner in the Field
Artillery and died April 5, 1956 - buried in Stafford 89074476
