Harry and Almira (Davenport) Strickler, Friend

In 1870 Holt County, Missouri Almira Davenport is 9, with parents Alfred 37 and Mary E. 31.  Sisters Mary J. 11, Jeminah 3, adn Sarah 1.

In 1900 Wray Alfred P. Davenport, born Nov 1832 in Ohio, and Mary C. Jan 1840 in Ohio, are running a hotel ion south Railway Street, with daughter Lena Jan 1880 Missouri.

1900 Wray "Harry Strickler and H.L. Thieman have located near Robbers' Roost and will engage in the cattle business."

1905 Wray "Mrs. Harry Strickler, of Mo., came in the first of the week and went on to Denver to see her father, A.P. Davenport, who is sick in the hospital at that place."

1909 Wray "For Sale - one hundred and ten head of cattle in prime condition.  Of the Angus and Darham stock For sale at prices that are right.  Inquire of Harry Strickler at the Davenport Hotel,."

In 1860 Adams County, Illinois, Wesley Stricker is 39, Catherine 37, both born in Pennsylvania.  They have Warren 16, Valentine 14, Ann 12, Emma 7, Charles 4, and newborn Harry, all kids born in Illinois.

In 1880 Atchison County, Missouri, Harry Strickler is 20, with Anna 17, and Wesley six months.  On the same page is Valentine Strickler, 32, with Lucy 28 and two daughters.

Harry cash-claimed a quarter in 15, 4S 45W in 1891, and timber-claimed a quarter in 7, 3S 46W in 1900.

In 1900 Glendale precinct Harry, born Jan 1860 in Illinois, with Elmira June 1862 in Iowa have been married 21 years, with one child still living.

In 1900 Alfred is farming in Atchison County, Missouri, born Nov 1879, with Loleata S. July 1881 Missouri, with a farmhand Andrew C. Jackson , 20.

1908 Broken Bow, Nebraska "Harry Strickler returned from a visit of a week at the old plantation in Missouri."

They're probably in Custer County Nebraska in 1910, Harry 50, Anna E. 47, son Alfred W. 30 and his wife Lolista S. 27, both born in Missouri and Ester, A. 5, Missouri.

1917 Akron "Mr. and Mrs. Harry Strickler and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Strickler and two children from Stanton, Nebr., spent the past week with the T. McAloon family."

Alfred Wesley Strickler registered in Ord, Nebraska, born Nov 8, 1879, and was working at the Basket Store Co. in Ord, with nearest relative Harry Stricker of Ord.

1919 Ord, Nebraska newspaper "Harry Strickler and son Alfred have purchased a store at Broken Bow."

In 1930 Custer County Harry is running a grocery store, and they're living alone.

Alfred W. Strickler - Nov 8, 1879 - Nov 18, 1966 is buried in Broken Bow. with his wife Loleata (Sarran( Strickler  - 1881-1965
