In 1900 Coffey County, Kansas, John Giffin born Mar 1864 married eleven years to Lulu May 1874, both Illinois, have Elmer E. Feb 1891, Chester W. Feb 1894, and Ora M. June 1897, all three in Kansas.
In 1905 J.J. 41, L.C. 31. E.E. 13, C.W. 10, L. M. 7,and O. 1 are still in Coffey County.
In 1910 Coffey County, John W. is 46, Lula . 36, Cluster C. 16, Leona N. 12, and Orle W. 6.
Leona May "Griffin" married William A. Hylton, both of Gentry, Arkansas, December 25, 1918 in Benton County, Arkansas.
In 1920 Benton County Arkansas, John W. is 54, farming, Lula C. 44, with Ora W. 16.
John and Lula are back in Kansas, Anderson County, in 1930.

| July 18, 1935 Funeral services for John W. Giffin, long-time
resident of this community, who died at his home near Highfill about
four o'clock Monday afternoon, were held at the Baptist church in
Springtown Wednesday afternoon ,with the Rev. Mr. Bradshaw of Vaughn
officiating. The deceased was born March 3, 1865 near Charleston, Ill.,
and at the. time, of his death was aged 70 years, 4 months and 11 .days.
He is survived by his wife. S sons, E. E.Giffin of Springtown. O W.
Griffin of' Kirkland. Kan; C. W. Griffin, Kansas City, and one daughter,
Mrs. Leona Hvlton of Gentry. Arrangements were in charge ^' Wasson
service, Gentry Arkansas January 1936 John Giffin and family returned to Kansas to make their home one day last week after staying several weeks with his grandmother, Mrs. J. W. Giffin. William 1890-1950 and Leona M. Hylton 1897-1987 are buried in Springtown # 34178747. |

DIED: E.R. Giffin at his home in Waverly, Kansas, on Thursday morning at 10
o'clock.
Feb 25, 1897: Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, at
the M. E. Church, conducted by the A. O. U. W. Lodge, No 209. Sermon by Rev. S.
F. Stevens. Everybody invited.
Aug 13, 2000, I am sure there are records somewhere on Eldridge Robert Giffin,
in Coffey Co. His spouse was Francis Ann Giffin, son was Charles Otis Giffin,
born 8 Aug. 1894. Eldridge was born on 26 Jan. 1859 and died 25 Feb. 1897. I
have some contacts in the area in Ottawa, KS and Wichita Ks. but they are not to
involved in genealogy.

In 1900 Coffey County, Kansas, Fannie Giffin born Oct 1861 in Illinois, widowed, no occupation, has Glatus July 1891 Kansas and Charles Otis Aug 1894 Kansas.
In 1905 Coffey County, J.R. Walker 31 and F.A. 42 have O.C 11 and Gladis 13.
In 1910 Idalia precinct John R. Walker 36 and Frances A. 48 - both second marriages - have her kids Glatus Griffin 19 and Otis Griffin 15, both born in Kansas.
Possibly he's the John R. Walker proving up 320 acres in 9 and 10, 5S. 45W in 1913 and 1914.
John Riley Walker 1873-1947, per # 35157493, is buried with Frances A. 1861-1947 in Colorado Springs.
CHARLES
Charles O. Giffin registered for WWI in Colorado Springs, born Aug 8, 1894 in Osage City, Kansas, a bookkeeper at the Colordo Springs Heat & Power Company, married.
In 1920 he's still in Colorado Springs, married to Mary L. 27 born in Kansas, and they have Elizabeth F. 1 born in Colorado. They're living with Mary's parents Eugene C. Patterson 58 and Mary E. 50.
In 1930 Colorado Springs they've added Robert E., 9
They're in Tucson, Arizona in 1940, running a furniture store, and Robert E. is a clerk in a grocery store. Elizabeth is a telephone operator in Colorado Springs, living with widowed grandmother Patterson.
BIO:Robert Eugene Giffin Sr. Born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, To Charles Otis Giffin and Mary Louise Patterson. Robert Giffin was a good, hard working man who raised his family and provided for their needs. Most of his life he worked in retail and wholesale sales, he did drive a bus for Pacific Electric in Los Angeles CA. in 1942-1943 also a bus for Sun Tran in Tucson AZ. from 1976 until his death in 1989.
GLATUS
CALDWELL — Services for Alva L. Hill, 79, Notus, who died in a Caldwell
hospital Friday, will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Dakan Funeral
Chapel by the Rev. C.C. Smith of the Euclid Church of the Nazarene in Boise.
Interment will be at Hillcrest.
Mr. Hill was born Sept. 18, 1890, at Tuttle, Colo., and was reared in
Colorado. He married Gladys Giffin in 1911. She died in 1912. He married
Grace Smith on Oct. 19, 1914, at Burlington, Colo. They celebrated their
55th wedding anniversary in October of 1969. The couple moved to Eugene,
Ore., in 1935, where they lived until coming to Idaho in 1947, where they
had resided since. Mr. Hill had been farmer for most of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Grace Hill, Notus; a son, Robert D. Hill, Notus;
four daughters, Mrs. Frances Bochmann, Colorado Springs, Colo., Mrs. Ray
Swanson, Elmira, Ore., Mrs. Calvin Vertrees, Grand Junction, Colo., and Mrs.
Marvin Ruse, Issaquah, Wash.; a brother, Arthur Hill, Kirk, Colo.; a sister,
Anna Hauchens, Greeley, Colo.; and 13 grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren.
Frances Mary Bochmann, the daughter of Alva and Glatus Giffin Hill, was
born October 20, 1912 at Idalia, Colorado. She died on Friday, February 17,
2006 at Red Oak Rehab & Care Center in Red Oak, Iowa at the age of 93 years.
Frances was raised by her grandparents, John and Fannie Walker. She moved to
Colorado Springs, Colorado in l916. She was united in marriage to Frederick
Paul Bochmann on March 3, 1929 in Denver, Colorado. They made their home in
Colorado Springs for 59 years. She worked for Alexander Film Company, and
also as a pharmacy apprentice for 12 years. Frances then worked as a
district manager for Studio Girl Cosmetics, retiring after 29 years of
service. She was a longtime member of the Hillside Congregation of Jehovah's
Witnesses. She moved to Red Oak, Iowa in 2000, to be closer to her son,
Fred. Frances was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Frederick in
l988.
Frances is survived by her son, Fred Bochmann and wife JoAnn of Red Oak,
Iowa, three grandchildren; Virginia Leathers and husband Adam, Suzanne and
Aaron Bochmann.
John cash-claimed a quarter in section 20, 4S 45W in 1910 .
