ASAHEL M. ROSE

Asahel did a cash claim on a quarter in 5N 46W - just north of the current Pleasant Valley Church. - in 1891.

One Ancestry tree says Asahel's parents were Francis Harrison Rose and Caroline BROOKS Rose, and he was born June 5, 1864 in Libertyville, Illinois, marrying Sarah Louise Wing October 25, 1892 in Clay County, Nebraska. 

The tree also says they had Francis H. Rose in 1893 dying 1896, Harrison J. Rose in 1896 dying 1896, Mary Naomi Rose July 6 1896 or 1898 dying 1951, and Caroline Isabell Rose November 10 1907.

He must be the railroad car repairman in 1900 Red Willow County, Nebraska, born June 1864 in Illinois.  He's married to Sadie L. born May 1871 in Wisconsin, and they have Mary N. born July 1898 in Nebraska.

In 1910 Clay County Nebraska Asahel is a mason.  Mary is 11, and they've added Isabelle, 2

There's a Sadie L. Rose buried in the Harvard, Nebraska cemetery, with no dates - almost certainly the same one.

In 1920 Red Willow County Asahel is widowed, a plasterer, and has Caroline I. 12

In 1930 Asahel is in Boulder, a stone mason.  He's married to Alice C, 70,  born in Wisconsin.  Isabelle A is 23, a bookkeeper. 

In 1940 Boulder Asabel Millington Rose is 75, widowed with no occupation.    He died in 1949 and is buried in Columbia Cemetery, Boulder.
Alice E. LEDBETTTER Rose - May 28, 1859 - March 8, 1939 is also buried there.

Caroline Isabel ROSE True is also buried there - November 10, 1907- October 15, 1997
