September 1925 "Mrs. Lillus McCoy will resume her old position as principal of the North Side grade school, with Miss Esther Baughman as her aide."
August 1926 Mrs. Lillus McCoy, Democratic candidate for county superintendent, visited Wray a few days last week extending her acquaintance. Mrs. McCoy will begin her school in Yuma soon . She is taking advantage of the latter end of the vacation to visit as many as she can. She has been teaching in Yuma for a number of years, making a splendid success, as is duly attested by the fact that she is re-employed year after year,. Mrs. McCoy is a pioneer resident of the county; is a woman of attainment and qualifications for the position; is held in high esteem by a host of friends, and would make an ideal county superintendent. She is a member of the Presbyterian church at Yuma and a church worker as well as school worker. She is the sole support of her family all of whom she is putting through high school. This one fact alone should commend her to a favorable consideration of the voters.

May 1932 Chief Machinists mate E. H. Langendorfer and first class yeoman M. M. McCoy of the Denver recruiting office were in Wray Wednesday on recruiting business. McCoy is a former resident of this town and county and is a son of Mrs. Lilus McCoy of Yuma.
February 1937 We notice in the Denver Post that a marriage license was issued Wednesday, a week ago, to Miss Dorothy McCoy and Charles S. Davis, of Shawnee, Colo. Dorothy is quite well known in this community. She is the daughter of Mrs. Lillus McCoy of Yuma.
October 1941 Mr. and Mrs. George Blach and sons and Mrs. Lillus McCoy of Yuma were among the out-of-towners who attended the Catholic dinner in Wray Monday night
May 1942 A message was received by Mrs. Lillus McCoy last Friday morning announcing that her son. Max McCoy, a member U. S. sea forces, is missing, presumably some where in the Pacific theatre of action. No details were stated and it it not known|if he was taken prisoner or lost in one of the battles with the Japanese. Mr, McCoy has been in the navy for nineteen years. His wife resides at San Luis Obispo, California.
March 1943 Word was received by Mrs. Lilus McCoy Tuesday that her second son, Chief Yeoman Max McCoy, who was reported missing soon after the out-break of the war with Japan, is a prisoner of the Japs on the Philippine Islands. This news, which must be considered as good in view of the first report, came byway of an official cable gram to the navy department from the International Red Cross at Tokyo. The message was sent to Mr. McCoy's wife, who is employed at the army camp at San Luis Obispo, California, and forwarded by her to the Yuma woman. It was the first word received concerning the man since he had been reported missing. Chief Yeoman McCoy, who has served almost twenty years in the navy, was in charge of a large recreational center for service men in Manila when that city fell to the Nipponese. His wife had been with him there, but returned to the Unit- ! ed States nearly a year before the war started.
March 1956 Among those who came from a distance to attend the Claude McCoy funeral services were John L. McCoy, Max McCoy, Mrs. Harold Jantzen, Mrs. Mabel Baylor, Chester Baylor, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Perkins, and Mrs. Howard Ray, all of Denver, Mrs. Richard Binder of Golden, Mrs. Claude Johnson of Fairplay, and Ernest McCoy of Colorado Springs..

Word was received in Wray this week by the McCoy families telling them of the death
of Harry McCoy of Peoria, 111., who died May 27 at a hospital in Canton, Illinois,
home of a daughter. He was a brother of the late Claude McCoy of Wray,
and during the past few years, had spent several months at his brother's home in Wray. He had observed his sixty-ninth birthday on May 20. A nephew, Leo McCoy, and a brother, John L. McCoy, and son of Denver had just returned from Illinois where they had gone after learning of his illness. Services were conducted Tuesday afternoon and burial was in Farmington, Illinois.

board spot. Carlisle is the owner of CBS of Fremont Real Estate Co. He said
one of the primary reasons for his move from Denver to Fremont in 1976 was
the structured school system available for his two children, ages 13 and 10.
Carlisle is a member of the Howard School PTA. He said monitoring the
budget, and studying curriculum and extra duty pay for teachers are
important school board issues, as well as encouraging better communication
between educators and school board members. He is a graduate of and former
