That land was foreclosed in 1907 by James N. Brown, plaintiff, vs. John Leech, L.W. Tulleys, Trusttee, J.V. McDowell, and Clarence K. Hesse, trustee. for $ 400.

In 1870 Hardin County, Iowa, J. T. "Lach" is 38, Louisa 30, J.G. 17, Lydia 14, J. H. 11, and Susan 4.

In 1880 Harlan County, Nebraska, James Leech is 51, Lowesey 46, John H. 21, Mary 14, and Nathan 11.

John Leech is in 1885 Harlan County, Nebraska, 25, with parents James 58 and Lowrey 52, both born in Kentucky, brother Nathan 17, both born in Iowa.

looking for a marriage record for CLARENCE C. ROWLEY. I believe that his wife LILLY ANN is another daughter of JAMES T. LEECH and LOUISA REYNOLDS. CLARENCE C. ROWLEY and his father WALTER E. ROWLEY bought land in Section 19 of Lincoln Township, Franklin County in 1878; they can be found in that township in both the 1880 and 1885 censuses. Section 19 is on the Harlan County line. Lucille Elizabeth (Farrell) Lowe, 91, of Benkelman, Nebraska was called home to Heaven on November 19, 2009, at the Hester Memorial Home where she resided. Lucille was born May 13, 1918 to Charlie and Lucy Farrell in Republican City, Nebraska on her grandparents' farm. Lucille was the oldest of three brothers and two sisters. One sister and one brother died as infants. Lucille went to school in Riverton, Nebraska and graduated the eighth grade. After eighth grade, she worked babysitting for friends. At the age of 17, she moved with her parents and family to Bird City, Kansas. While in Bird City, she met and married Chester (Bud) Lowe on May 6, 1937 on his parents' farm. The couple worked on John Leech's farm until they moved to Benkelman in 1939.

James was widowed in 1900 Washington County Iowa, and is buried in Hardin County # 79886445.
