In 1910 George 51, Mary 47, have Elisa 21, Ethel 17, Marie 10, William 8, and Thelma 3.
Thelma died in 1914, buried in Maple Grove # 117350525.
In 1920 G.W. 59 and Mary J. 58 have Marie B. 20 and Wm. M. 18.

You aro hereby required to appear in an action brought against you by the above
named plaintiff, In the District Court of Yumn County, State of Colorado, and answer
the complaint therein within twenty days after the service hereof, if served within
this county; or, if served out of this County, or by publication, within thirty days
after tho service hereof, exclusive of the day of service; or judgment by default
will be taken against you according to the prayer of the complaint; and if a copy
of the complaint in the above entitled action be not served with this summons,
or if the service hereof be made out of this State, then ten days additional to
the time herein above specified for appearance and answer will be allowed before
the taking of judgment by default as aforesaid. The said action is brought to
quiet title in the plaintiff and against the defendant to the following described

Josiah J. Evans had cash-claimed that quarter in 1891, and in 1922 was owned by H. Halderson.
In 1915 George was sued "to quiet title to certain lands. Jotter answered and sought to quiet the title in himself Judgment was in favor of the plaintiff and the defendant (Jotter) bought the matter for review...title to the premises had previously quieted in the Empire Ranch adn Title Company."

George W. Jotter was born in Monroe, Ohio, Feb. 22, 1849 and departed this life on the first day of April, 1930, at the age of 81 years, one month and ten days. In 1884 he came to Kansas and purchased a farm near Narka, where he has lived for almost fifty years. In 1886 ho was united in marriage to Miss Mary Jane Scholl, and to this union seven children were born, three of whom preceded him in death. For nineteen years Mr. Jotter was a member of the School Board of Star District; and has always been an ardent supporter of our educational institutions, providing both for advanced training of his own children and giving liberally of his means to support educational institutions. While not a member of any church, Mr. Jotter has always been a supporter of the church, and has been anxious to keep his children under its uplifting influence. For some time the deceased has been failing in health, spending much of the past two years in a hospital. Ho leaves to mourn his death his wife, Mrs. Mary Jotter of Narka; three daughters, Mrs. Asa Ferris and Mrs. J. C. Boddy of Narka, and Mrs. G. S. Cosand of La Junta, Colorado; one son, William Jotter of Los Angeles; California.; one sister, Mrs. Emma Kinsinger of Collinsville, Ohio; eight grandchildren and many relatives and friends. As a citizen Mr. Jotter was highly esteemed for his industry, public- mindedness and for his through-going honesty; as a neighbor he was neighborly; and as a friend he was much loved by all. Funeral services were held at the Narka M. E. Church, Friday afternoon, April 4, and interment was at Maple Grove Cemetery. The services were conducted by the pastor of the Presbyterian Church, assisted by the pastor of the Methodist Church
Belleville Mrs. C. J. Boddy and Asa Ferris went Tues. to Topeka to be at the bedside of Mrs. Boddy's father, Mr. Geo. Jotter, who was very low at a sanatorium at Topeka.
Chas. Thomas has been carrying mail for Asa Feris a few days this week. Asa took leave on account of the death of his father-in-law Mr. Jotter
H. G. Torbert of Belleville was here Friday to attend the funeral of George Jotter.
Mr. and Mrs. George Cossand and family of La Junta, Colo.,
who have been here to attend the funeral of her father,
George Jotter, left for Norton Saturday to visit his sister.
Mr. Cossand continued on his journey home, while Mrs. Cossand came back.
William Jotter, born at Narka Kansas, to George Jotter and Mary Sholl, married Ruth Harris in Council Bluffs, Iowa on February 12, 1925.
He died January 31, 1982 in Madera County, California.
1936 Belleville "Mrs. Mary Jotter left Thursday for La Junta, Colo., for an extended visit with her daughter, Mrs. George Cosand and family."
December 1936 "Mr. and Mrs. George Cosand and family of La Junta, Colo., came last Thursday and visited until Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Asa Ferris and sons. Mrs. Mary Jotter who has betn visiting at the Cosand home for the past four months, accompanied them to her home in Narka."
August 24, 1933 "NARKA, Kansas - Authorities investigating the slaying of C. J. Boddy, 42, and his wife, Ethel Jotter Boddy, Thursday said the man had killed his wife and then shot himself. The Boddys were farm people and formerly lived at Littleton, Colo. The shooting occurred early Wednesday."
