December 1928 "A new manager took charge of the Red Cross drug store in Yuma last Week, according to the Pioneer, and it says: “Prof. A. E. Stevenson, who has had charge of this store a number of years, was compelled to relinquish that position because of his his election last month to serve the people as county superintendent of schools. His successor as manager of the drug store is K. C. Hinde, who also owns a drug store over at Crook in Logan county, a few miles northeast of Sterling."

K.C. Hinde taught the Pleasant Valley school 1934-1935.



October 1938 Alvin items " Mr. Hinde, teacher at Thomas, and pupils visited Pleasant Valley school Friday afternoon. Ciphering and a ball game was enjoyed by all. Thomas won in ciphering and Pleasant Valley won the ball game. Visitors were Mrs. Atwood, Mrs. Cornish, Mrs. Dempsey, Mrs. Fagan, Bud Spellman and Charlie Bates..

" Prairie Valley school with the teacher, K. C. Hinde, and Charles Bates came to District 22, Pleasant Valley school, for a ciphering match and ball game Friday afternoon. Prairie Valley won the cipher match, and District 22 won the ball game."

"The Pleasant Valley School district No. 22 went to Prairie Valley School District No. 28 for a ciphering match and soft ball game Friday afternoon. The score in the ball game was 12 to 8 in Prairie Valley’s favor. The ciphering match was won by Pleasant Valley school. Kenneth Hinde is teacher of District 28, and Miss Elmeda Stabler is teacher in Dist. 22"


February 1940 " Robert Hinde spent from Friday evening until Sunday with La Vern Day."

Katherine M. (Harding) Hinde, 83, of Haxtun, died July 9, 2011, in Haxtun. Funeral services were held July 13 at Berean Bible Church in Haxtun. Interment was at Haxtun Cemetery. Mrs. Hinde was born Oct. 2, 1927, in Paoli to Robert T. and Mary R. (Josh) Harding. She graduated from Haxtun High School. She married Marlin E. Hinde Sr. She was part-owner of Country Kitchen for 7 1/2 year and a school cafeteria manager in California for 18 year. She also worked in home health care. Mrs. Hinde was a member of Buffalo Grass Church of the Nazarene and Haxtun Women’s Club Auxiliary. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon K. Woodside and husband Joe F. Woodside of Haxtun; son, Robert Hinde and wife Zinnia of Scotts Valley, Calif.; 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marlin E. Hinde Sr.; sons, Marlin E. Hinde II and Randy Hinde; great-grandchild, Jakavos Flippin; brother, Donny Harding; sister, Evelyn Forbes; and brother-in-law, Lyle Hinde. Memorials may be made to Buffalo Grass Church of the Nazarene.
