1888 "Mr. Evans, of 5-47, sold his relinquishment last week to F.A. Williams, and has gone to Denver."
He was born January 10, 1856 in Stoutland Missouri to Oliver and Mary DAIN Evans, and was there in the 1860-1870-1880 census. About 1876 he married Sarah Paralee Miller, and they had Lura Evans August 16, 1877, James Harley Evans July 21, 1880, Emma Laura Evans October 14, 1882, Myrtle Evans January 7, 1884, John Oliver Evans September 24, 1888 IN COLORADO, Anna Florence Evans October 4, 1890 in Sweetwater, Nebraska, and Hettie Evans December 20, 1893..

Ira died in 1953 in Orange County.

Bradford. Nicholls and Bradford were also listed on a dozen other claims, in Yuma and Kit Carson Counties, in the 1892-1893 time period.
Now in 1870 Auglaize, Camden Missouri is a HENRY Evans, 5, born Missouri, with J.C. 37 Tennessee and Sarah 40 Tennessee Evans. He would be ten years younger than Josiah. Both Oliver and J.C. were born in Tennessee.
One Ancestry tree says Oliver and John C. were sons of Jacob Abashai Evans and Mary A. Dain.
The tree says Henry was born in Missouri in 1864, and married Alice Bertha Smith in 1895 (but the 1900 census of Camden County has Henry and Alice married 15 years, with Sarah C. and Bertis L. ,

The 1920 Laclede County census has Henry D. and Alice L. living alone, farming.
On the same census page are John C. Evans 87, with wife Emma 59.
Next household is Charles E. Carlton, 43, Georgiana 43, Earnest M 14, and Marjorie 8. Charles is a physician.
In 1930 and 1940 Henry D. is married to Bertha E. twenty years younger. He's still farming in 1940 at the age of 76.
Henry's death certificate said his father was John C. Evans, mother Sarah B. Hillhouse, and wife was Alice. Bertha was the informant. It said he was born April 1st 1864 near Stoutland.
