Roudy B. Cole

In 1870 Shelby County, Illinois "Rufus" Cole is 3.  Jefry is 41, Mary 34.  Other children are Sevana 11, Henerett 5, both born in Ohio..  Also in the household are D. Lanning 26 and Daniel Lanning 12, both farm laborers born in Illinois..

In 1880 Shelby County, Illinois, Roudybush Cole is 13, living with Jeffrey 51 and Mary A. 44.  His sister Henrietta is 15.

Roudy cash-claimed a quarter in 4N 46 W in 1891.

In 1900 he's in Oregon County, Missouri, living with his widowed father Jeffry Cole. Jeffry is 71, born in Ohio.  Roudy said he was born January 1867 in Illinois, and is a farmer.

On Ancestry tree said that Roudy was born in Illinois in 1866, and married Rachel Davis in 1901. 

In 1907 Roudy Bush Cole got a patent for a "moving picture machine"  Witnesses were Harry Stevenson and John R. Casey.

In 1909 Roudy B. Cole. residing at Fredericktown, in the county of Madison and State of Missouri, applied for a patent on a "new and useful Concrete Block Machine." 

Witnesses were E.L. Purcell and C.B. White, and the patent was granted in 1910.

In 1910 Roudy, in Madison County, is an "artificial stone-mason".  He and Rachel M.  have Nettie P. 8 and Carl C.  5.

One tree said "Roudey Bush Cole" died 1913 in Madison County

In 1920 Madison County Rachel 37 is married to Ephraim Wellen, 59, Carl, Nettie, and Ethel J. (9 years old) Cole, and two-month-old Hartford B. Wellen.

Nettie N. Cole married Esters O. Whitener November 14, 1921 in Madison County.

In 1930 Rachel is widowed. with Hartford 10 and Roselee 7.

Hartford B. Welker, 82, of Fredericktown, Missouri, died September 6, 2002 at Ozark Manor II in Fredericktown. Mr. Welker was born November 3, 1919 in Fredericktown, the son of Rachel Welker and Ephrum R. Welker. Mr. Welker married June Mann on July 5, 1940.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son; Daniel L. Welker, grandson; Daniel C. Welker, brother; Carl Cole, and sister; Pearl Whitener.

Survivors include his wife, daughters; Karen L. Matthews of Union Grove, Alabama, Leshia A. Taylor of Grapevine, Texas; Sisters; Ethel Jewell Hawn of Fredericktown, Rosalee Bailey of Grand Junction, Colorado; five grandchildren.

Funeral services were September 10, 2002 at Follis's Sons Funeral Home with Tom Johnson officiating. Burial was at Christian Cemetery in Fredericktown.

Rosalee Bailey June 3, 1922 - August 15, 2010 Rosalee Bailey, 88, of Grand Junction, Colorado passed away on August 15, 2010 at the Hospice Care Center due to a long illness. Rosalee was born on June 3, 1922 in Fredricktown, MO to Ephriam R. Welker & Rachael M. (Davis) Welker. Rosalee spent her childhood in Fredricktown and graduated from Fredricktown High school. Rosalee was married on July 30, 1942 to T. Wayne Bailey in Farmington, MO. He preceded her in death on April 30, 2001. She is also preceded in death by her brothers; Hartford B. Welker and Carl C. Cole, sister; Pearl C. Whitner and her parents Ephriam and Rachael Welker. Rosalee was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Grand Junction, Colorado; she also enjoyed bowling with her husband Wayne, and traveling. Rosalee is survived by her daughter, Sandra Kay Caskey & son-in-law Robert H. Caskey of Grand Junction, CO and sister; Ethel J. Hawn of Fredricktown, MO. Three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A visitation for Rosalee will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary and a service will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 395- 31 5/8 Road in Grand Junction. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado, 3090B No. 12th St., Grand Junction, CO 81506.
