Lewis E. and Martha Brady


Lewis Edman Brady registered for WWI in White, Nebraska, born July 7, 1886 at Stuttgart, Kansas, farming, with a wife and child in Hayes County, Nebraska.

In 1920 Hayes County, Nebraska, Lewis is 32, Kansas, Martha 24 Nebraska, with Melvin 4 and Donna 1. His brother Claude 25 and David W.B. Brady 35 are with them.
In 1930 Yuma County, Lewis is 42, born in Kansas, Martha 34 Nebraska, with Melvin 14 and Donna 11, both born in Nebraska.

Lewis # 48448451 - 1886-1959 is buried in Yuma, with Martha W. 18895-1990.

In 1940 Denver, Melvin B. Brady is 24, Opal A. 18.



MELVIN
Melvin Bernard Brady was born Jan 21, 1916 at Hayes Nebraska to Lewis E. Brady and Martha Washington, dying Jan 22, 2003,, last residence Hidalgo County, Texas.
November 5, 1942 "A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Brady in Denver last Thursday, called Bernard Stanley. Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Chas Borwer and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Brady of Yuma."
In 1943 Melvin and Opal and son moved to the Chas Brower farm where they will assist Mr. Brower with his blacksmith work." )that building is still standing, a shop at 15050 Road 53.)

In 1949 Opal Brady, of Edinburg, Texas, served the cake at the wedding of Alma Esther Brady, daughter of Lewis E. Brady, to Warren Lee Spangler of Otis.
1971 Harlingen, Texas "The engagement of Miss Cecilia Dawn Savage, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Judson C. Savage of Raymondville, and Carrol Francis Brady of Corpus Christi was announced Friday at a large tea given by Mrs. Richard Willard Hutchins Jr. at her home in Raymondville. The future bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Brady of Edinburg."
1985 Yuma "Jennie Johnston and Phoebe Josh visited Melvin and Opal Brady of Texas who have been visiting her mother, Martha Brady.

DONNA

Donna C. Brady married Aldor W. Larson March 12, 1937, recorded in Yuma COunty.
They were at Wellfleeet Nebraska in 1940 - when Melvin and Opal married.
In 1969 Aldor and Donna were living in Edinburg, visiting Donna's uncle Bill Wilhelmeon in Denver hospital.
In 1974 Aldor and Donna's son Ted Larson had his right leg amputated in Houston.

ALMA

Warren Lee Spangler of Salem died on Dec. 9, 2001 in Salem. He was 75. He was born to Harvey and Lucy White Spangler in Haigler, Neb. As a young boy he moved to Otis, Colo. where he lived until he joined the U.S. Marine Corps. After he completed his duty he returned to Otis and lived there until 1950.
On April 17, 1949 he married Alma Brady in Yuma, Colo. The couple moved around Colorado for a number of years before moving to Reedsport in 1965. In 1967 the family moved to Salem. He retired from the Boilermakers Blacksmith Union Local No. 500. He enjoyed art, drafting, hunting and tinkering with cars.
Survivors include his wife, Alma of Salem; son, Korey of Salem; daughters, Brenda Paull of Vancouver, Wash., Eileen Terhes of Salem and Kelly Yustin of Aloha; stepmother, Wilma Spangler; stepbrothers, Emery, Kenneth and Richard; stepsister, JoAnn Beeman; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren Warren is buried in Willamette National # 36370292.

Harvey Warren Spangler 1900-1976 is buried in Payette County, Idano # 16752515, Lucil3 1906-1937 in Haigler Nebraska # 42615051 (Harvey married Wilma Hooker 1915-2006).
