NELL SLATER
Nell Briscoe was affectionately known as Grandma Briscoe or GG by her great grandchildren. She and her husband lived just north of the house where my husbands family lived in Cedaredge, CO. Nell and Richard Briscoe had three children, Lillian, William, and Mary. Mary, mother to my husband Bill, was married to Jack Kehmeier. She still lives in the same home in Cedaredge at this writing. From research I have determined that Nell was born to Gilbert D. Slater and Jessie M Wilson/Slater in June 1898. She was born Lola M. Slater. Her mother died when Lola was two. Lola was then adopted by William Wilson and his wife Esta Bell Emery/Wilson. They changed her name to Nell Gladys.
