Elmer E. Wheeler
Elmer E. Wheeler, 22, son of Oliver and Mary Wheeler, married Nettie M. Sheppard on March 8, 1888 in Thayer County, Nebraska.
Nettie was 18, born in Illinois to Joseph and Caroline Sheppard.
Elmer cash-claimed a quarter in section 4, 5N 48W in 1891.
POSSIBLE
This is EDWIN E. WHEELER, son of James Wheeler and Chistina Vetter, who married Josie Kohout in Wynne, Nebraska in September of 1900.
May 1, 1923 Nebraska "E. E. Wheeler, Burlihgton passenger conductor,
who died very suddenly Saturday night at his home in Fairmont,
was a former Wymore resident for many years, and was widely
known over the entire southeastern part of Nebraska, having run a train
on all parts of the Wymore division for the past twenty-five years.
His last run was Nos„ 41 and 42 between Lincoln and St. Joseph,
but the family maintained the home owned at Fairmont where
Mr. Wheeler was on the run to Endlcott for eight years previous to
the assignment on No's 41 and 42 two years ago.
He is survived by the widow.
One son is attending the Nebraska state university.
The widow was formerly Miss Josie Kohout, of.."
" Besides the widow and two sons and one daughter, of Fairmont, there survive, the aged mother, of Table Rock, two brothers. Frank, of Council Bluffs and Gas. of Oregon^late, and one sister. Mrs. R. C. Zink, of Table Rock. "

In 1900 Fillmore County, Nebraska, Elmer E. Wheeler is farming, born June 1864 in Iowa, married 12 years to Nettie Nov 1865 Illinois. Lester C. July 1889
and Clara February 1891 were born in Nebraska.
Elmer, 43, born in Jackson County Iowa to Cliver and Kate M. Wheeler, married
Sarah M. Cline on December 24, 1907 in Hebron, Thayer County, Nebraska.
In 1902 the Empire Land and Cattle Company filed suit against Elmer for that land.
