Ernest Scheele, Sr., sons Benjamin Scheele, Edgar Scheele
Kenneth Leroy, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Scheele, was born May 25, 1923 and passed away at the hospital in Yuma, January 6, 1925, aged one year, seven months, and twelve days. Little Kenneth was a strong, healthy child until stricken with that dreaded disease pneumonia and intestinal flu, which soon sapped his strength and in ten days the Master said, "You have suffered enough; come unto Me and I will give you rest." He was a bright little boy for his age, and endeared himself to all who had the privilege of looking into his smiling face. Soon after being taken sick, medical aid was summoned and all that science and skill and loving hands could do was done. Gradually growing worse, it was thought best to take him to the hospital in Yuma where he might receive the very best of care, but the Master willed that he should join the Heavenly host of little children there to await the coming of his loved ones here. The funeral was held from the family home Friday afternoon. Rev. Jones spoke for twenty minutes upon this text bringing out many helpful, inspiring and encouraging thoughts and impressed upon his hearers that while we cannot bring little Kenneth back, we can so live that we can go to be with him. Music was furnished by the Waverly choir which was most impressive and appropriate for the occasion. In addition to flowers furnished by the parents, the school which little Kenneth's sisters attended furnished flowers as also did the women's Waverly club. The little body was laid to rest in the Yuma cemetery - thus another home is vacant, another soul in Heaven. He leaves to mourn their loss, his parents two sisters, as well as many other relatives and friends. They child's grandmother, Mrs. Ella Reynolds of Corning, Missouri arrived in time for the funeral.
