Grandfather was Frank Russell SCHAUER b. CO 10 Jun 1889 to parents Charles A SCHAUER & Mary MEAGHER . Frank moved to PA then VT where he & wife Hazel WHITING raised 3 sons & 2 dau.
In 1900 Frank, Russell, and Robert are "grand-nephews" in Kate Ennis's residence in Clear Creek County (Georgetown is there)
Frank - Nov 1866 in Pennsylvania and Marietta April 1867 in Ohio - are in Denver in 1900 just married. Frank is a butcher.
In 1910 Frank F. Schauer is a butcher in Boulder County, 42, born in Pennsylvania, married to Marietta 40, Ohio. They have Frank 18, a clerk in a grocery store, Robert J. 17 a baker and Russell J. 17, a waiter in a cafe, all sons born in Colorado.

Frank Schauer registered for WWI in Wellboro Pennsylvania, saying he was born June 10, 1889 in Colorado. When he registered for WWII he said he was born in Holyoke, Colorado.
Robert John Schauer registered for WWI in Longmont,, saying he was born February 20, 1895 in Georgetown, Colorado.

SCHAUER-KNEMEYER--Robert Schauer, formerly of Longmont, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Schauer of Denver, was married at Fort Collins yesterday morning to Miss
Clara Knemeyer of that city, Father LaJeunesse of St. Joseph church officiating.
Mr. and Mrs. Russell Schauer and Miss Margaret Garrett attended the ceremony.
Robert died Dec 21, 1969, Clara 1982, and both are buried in Fort Collins.
