William M. Little, Bryant

William cash-claimed a quarter in section 20, 5N 48W in 1891.

This was between the 1891 claims of George W. Landers and Peter P. Heggstrom.

In 1915 William M. Little and Alice E. Little, his wife, were sued by Pierce Wright & Company, for title to that land.

Possibly the William Little who married Alice Kelley in Linn County, Iowa on November 26, 1874.

William is in 1895 Linn County, Iowa, 29, with Alice 39, Horton 18 born in Kansas, Forest 12, Leon 10, Orpa 7, Leta 5, and Hattie newborn, all five born in Linn County.

William Little is in 1900 Jones County, Iowa, born 1858 in Illinois, married 25 years to Alice A. Aug 1858 Iowa. Horton W. June 1876 in Kansas, Forest May 1882, Leon J. Sept 1884, Orpha B. March 1887, Leta June 1889, all single, born in Iowa. Granddaughter Maggie E. was born Oct 1899 in Iowa.

Forest Hobert Little, 29, born at Wambeck, Iowa to Wm. Little and Alice Kelley, married Cora Irene Vander Wider, 26, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on September 23, 1910. She was born in New YOrk City to C. Vander Wider and Catherine Van Sweeden.

FOREST

Forest Hobart Little registered for WWI in Sheridan Wyoming, born May 1, 1881, a coal miner. His nearest relative was Alice Little of East Burkett, Sheridan Wyoming.

F. H. Little is in Sheridan County in 1920, 41, divorced, in a boarding house.

Forest is farming in Larimer County, Colorado in 1930, 48, born in Iowa, with wife Lyla L. 45 born in Ohio.

On the same page are Charles F. Finley, farming, 72 born in California and Alice A. Finley 63, born in Iowa.

Charles Finley had married Lucy S. Shuck on July 12, 1880 in Fort Collins.

Charles F. Finley 1858-1931 is buried in Fort Collins, # 46174036, with C.F. 1858-1931.


Alice Finley is in Larimer County, Colorado in 1940, 84, widowed, born in Iowa, with son Forest H. Little 42 born in Iowa, married but no spouse. Alice's daughter Esther M. O'Hallaran 42 born in Iowa, is single but no spouse. Alice's grandson Tommie Marsdon 15 born in Iowa is with them. Both Esther and Tommie wee in Mason City, Iowa in 1935.

Forest H. Little 1882-1946 is buried in Fort Collins # 48099782.

ESTHER

Alice Finley is in Larimer County, Colorado in 1940, 84, widowed, born in Iowa, with son Forest H. Little 42 born in Iowa, married but no spouse. Alice's daughter Esther M. O'Hallaran 42 born in Iowa, is single but no spouse. Alice's grandson Tommie Marsdon 15 born in Iowa is with them. Both Esther and Tommie wee in Mason City, Iowa in 1935.

(Thomas Marsdon, 5 is in Mason City, Iowa in 1930, with marquis 37 and Esther 34 both born iIowa. Marquis' father William 68, widowed, born in Pennsyvania, is with them.
Thomas, born May 23, 1924 in Mason City to Marquis A. Marsden and Esther Little, died April 13, 1997.
He's buried in Eagle Point National, Oregon # 950984.)

Marcus A. Marsden 1893-1936 is buried in Mason City # 6496920.

LEON

Leon Jay Little registered for WWI in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a barber, born Sept 20, 1884. His nearest relative was Mrs. ALice Little of Sheridan, Wyoming.

Leon is single in 1920 Minneapolis, and in 1930, still a barber, he's 44, married to Ella\, 36.


LETTA

Letta Little, 18, daughter of William Little and Alice Kelly, married Rolla A. Clements, 27, son of Warren Clements and Mary Murphy, on April 2, 1907 in Donulas County, Nebraska.

Rolla is an insurance agent in 1910 Sheridan, Wyoming, 30, born in Iowa, with Letta 21 born in Iowa.

In 1920 they're in Osage County, Oklahoma, Rolly 39 a laborer at a pump station, with Leta 31 and Royle 5 born in Wyoming.

They're in Dayton, Ohio in 1930, Rolla a candy salesman, 43, Letta 34, and Royal 15.

Leta died December 1, 1931 in Montgomery County, Ohio.

Rolla, 62, married Grace C. Kile on May 5, 1952 in Indiana, residing in Columbus, Ohio.

Rolla died in July 1953 , obituary in the Dayton, Ohio Daily News.

Royle is a musician in 1940, married to Geraldine, and he's buried in Green County, Ohio 1914-1981 # 141689063, with Geraldine 1916-2001.


THIS IS NOT THE WILLIAM LITTLE WHO MARRIED ADDIE STEEL IN AKRON IN 1890.
