George cash-claimed a quarter in section 17, 5N 48W in 1891.
His claim was between William M. Little and Fred H. Vanwie, both in 1891.
George W. Landers, Jr., cash-claimed a quarter in township 5N 49W in 1891 - Washington County, but only four miles from the Yuma County claim.
George is in Moultrie County, Illinois in 1900, farming, born Oct 1836 in Illions, with Julia June 1834 Pennsylvania. Wilis Feb 1876, Alice Jan 1880, and Albert May 1874 were born in Illinois.
George is buried in Moultrie County 1837-1917 # 42547857,

FRANK
Frank was a sergeant in I, 143rd Illinois Infantry, born in Shelby County, Illioinis, entry in service May 9, 1864 .
Frank Landers also cash-claimed a quarter in 5N 49W in 1891.
Frank was a merchant in Lovington, Illinois in 1880, 37, with Sarah 30, Gilbert A. 10 and Charlie 3.
In 1914 Frank is a real estate agent, with Sarah L. at 2601 K. Isaac Landers (Mollie F.) is also a real estate agent, at 3335 QQ.
(this is probably Frank's brother, who worked with Frank in a store in 1880 Illinois)
Frank and Sarah are in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1900 and 1910>
Frank applied for an invalid pension on December 10, 1900, and Sarah applied for a widow's pension in 1917.
In 1938 Frank / Franklin Landers and Sarah J. Landers, deceased,
had sole surviving heirs Gilbert A. Landers and Charles A. Landers, were sued by Keim Investment for title to George's land in Yuma County.
Charlie A. Landers, 21, had married Olive F. Finney in Lincoln, Nebraska on January 18, 1899.

Olive 42 and Ruth L. 11 are in Lincoln in 1920, living with her brother Frank J. Finney 54.
Charles is married to Leona in 1930 Los Angeles, and Olive is widowed in Lincoln, with Ruth.
Olive is buried in Lincoln 1877-1936 # 7628006, wtih Ruth Landers Johnsont 1808-1979.
Royal L. Landers 1901-1923 is buried in Lincoln # 70628007.
April 3, 1931 Lincoln, Nebraska "Bert Landers, 57,
trusty in the city jail, died at 12:30 o'clock Friday
morning in an ambulance on the way to St. Elizabeth's
hospital. Dr. George E. Lewis, city physician,
said death was due to a heart attack. Landers,
who was arrested Tuesday afternoon on a drunkenness charge,
complained of being ill during the afternoon,
but continued at his duties as assistant in the jail
kitchen, after receiving treatment.
Shortly after midnight another prisoner in the
bull pen observed Landens' condition, and
informed officers, an ambulance was called to
move Landers to the hospital, but he was
dead, when he arrived there

April 10, 1931 Lincoln, Nebraska "In a further effort to
locate relatives of Bert Landers, a cook who died here
several days ago, Police Secretary Rudisil made
finger print impressions of the corpse at Castle,
Roper and Matthews' mortuary Friday morning.
Inquiry has disclosed that Landers had never served
in the army or navy, forestalling attempts to
locate relatives through government records."
