"Mishawaka, Indiana - Berniece M. Hoover, 97, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2016, in Golden Living Center.
Berniece was born on April 20, 1918, in North Liberty, IN, to the
late Benjamin and Edith (Knepp) Barnhart. She was preceded in death by
her husband, Harold “Johnny” Hoover in 1976.
Berniece is survived by her daughters, Martha Browning of Mishawaka, IN,
Diana (Kenneth) Eby, of Elkhart, IN; 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Richard Hoover; granddaughter, Anita; son in-law, Chuck; and a brother, Howard Barnhart.
Berniece was a lifetime member of Chain-O-Lakes Conservation Club.
Visitation for Berniece will be held on Monday, April 4, 2016, from 4-8 pm in Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, IN. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at 11 am with visitation 1 hour prior in the funeral home, with Pastor Jim Bayer officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery."
"Charles D. Browning, 69, of Mishawaka, died Tuesday June 30, 2015. The Mishawaka native was born November 24, 1945 to William E. & Esther (Johnston) Browning, both of whom have preceded him in death. Chuck was a graduate of Adams High School with the Class of ''65 and was a member of the College Park Missionary Church. An avid airplane enthusiast, he enjoyed building and repairing model airplanes and was a member of the AMA-Millersburg R/C Club. He also enjoyed the challenge of repairing household items. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast as well as enjoying time spent with his family & grandkids, attending reunions and other family events. In addition to his parents, Chuck was also preceded in death by his daughter, Anita Browning and his sister, Marg Starkweather. He is survived by his wife, Martha (Hoover) Browning of Mishawaka; their children, Linda Fry of Middlebury and Chris (Julie) Browning of Elkhart, grandchildren, Brittany McGarry and Justin McGarry; great grandchildren, De''Vaya McGarry and Jocelyn House, all of Elkhart; brothers, Bill (Lee) Browning of Fort Wayne, Ron (Sue) Browning of Wolf Lake and his sister, Cora Sue (Marv) Colley of LaPorte. Funeral Services 11:00 Friday July 3, 2015 at College Park Missionary Church, 2014 Liberty Drive, Mishawaka, IN 46545, with calling from 10-11am in the church. Calling also 4-8pm Thursday at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. Burial In Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens."
