Charles proved up eighty acres in section 7, 5N 48W in 1894, after cash-claiming eighty acres in 1889. The Leslie post office was on his land.
Charles was appointed postmaster of Leslie (in the Washington County list) on October 29 , 1891, succeeding Lawrence Larson, and served until September 1894, when the service was transferred to Burdett.
Charles N. Kimball is a gunsmith in Denver in 1896, at 1002 Santa Fe Avenue.

To all whom, it may concern:
Be it known that we, JAMES WESLEY KUYKENDALL and CHARLES N. KIMBALL, citizens of the United States of America, residing at Denver, in the county of Arapahoe and State of Colorado, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Pedal-Bells; and we do declare the following tobe a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, suoli as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the figures of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
Our invention relates to improvements in pedal-bells for use on bicycles and velocipedes generally. "
