November 1905 Yuma, "Mrs. John Felton and
Mrs. Frank Ritchey arrived yesterday from Nebraska, to join their husbands who have been here for some time, in the new home on 'piety row'."
February 1906 "G. W. Fulton and sister from near Crofton, Neb.,
are guests at the home of their brother, J.W. Felton, in this city."
(George W. Felton, 26, born in Massachusetts to George N. and Margaret Felton, married Anna B. Marshall on January 1, 1885 in Lincoln, Nebraska..)
The 1860 census of Marlborough, Massachusetts has George N. 28, Margaret 35, Lizzie 10, Marietta 2, and George W. 1. Newell M. Fleton is 5ive and Edwin Rice 16.
George Newell Felton 1832-1916 is buried in Lincoln # 69925629,
with Elizabeth Amelia (Lyman) Felton 1850-1928.
George W. Felton 1858-1934 is buried in Lincoln # 69925630,
with Anna Belle Felton 1861-1936.
April 1906 "J.W. Felton this week moved his family onto his homestead north of town."
May 1906 "J. W. Felton left Sunday for Fort Morgan where he will work
at the carpenter trade this summer."
John Felton was a witness for
Belle Deering's claim for land in
township 3N 48W in 1907.
June 1907 Yuma "John Felton has the contract for the
building of a residence for Wm. Herren."
In 1908 J. W. Felton of Kirk was called for a Yuma County petit jury.
October 1909 "Mrs. Felton left for Nemaha, Neb., yestereday for a visit at her old home."
In 1910 Yuma, on Railroad Street, Spofford Geer is 58, married 29 years
to Nellie, 44, both born in Pennsylvania. She's had three kids,
one living. They're living with George Shoop, 75, German,
immigrating in 1853, and his grandson Harry E. Shopp 14 born in Nebraska.
Also with them is Anna C. Felton, 56, a visitor.
Anna Crow, 32, daughter of George and Mary Crow, married John W. Felton on Sept 12, 1886 in Auburn, Nebraska.
Annie C. Felton, born October 1854 in Missouri, is in Nemaha County, Nebraska in 1900, married to John Felton thirteen years.
In 1909, Anna contested John W. Felton's claim for a quarter in section 28, 3N 48W, claiming that he had abandoned. it. Ann proved up on that quarter in 1911.
February 3, 1911 "Tuesday the application for
divorce of Mrs. Anna. Felton from her husband, John W. Felton,
was heard, and the decree granted."
May 1913 "The Misses Clara and Minnie Weiss, of Stratton,
Nebraska, arrived in Yuma last Saturday for a visit of several
weeks with their sister, Mrs. John Felton,
living north of town."
Anna is in Yuma in 1930, a nurse, living alone at 615 South Buffalo Street.
Anna is buried in Yuma # 49689656.
