Joseph cash-claimed a quarter in section 35, 5N 48W in 1891.
There's a Joseph Docker in 1850 Knox County, Indiana, born in Illinois, living with William Burtch 56 and Mary 45.
In 1860 Knox County, Joseph is 29, a clerk born in Illinos, with Lara F. 23 born in Indiana. Maria Docker and Mary E. were also in 1850 with them, and in 1860 Mary E. Martin is 20, Maria 22.
"William Burtch. Born Rutland, VT in 1793. Moved west with his mother,
several sisters and a brother after his father's death.
Cincinnati in 1811, Vincennes in 1814.
Was considered the wealthiest man in Knox County.
Married Margaret Hannah - Margaret died in 1836 and, the next year, William married her widowed sister, Mary Hannah Docker. William and Margaret's daughter, Eunice married Lansing Heberd.

1880 regarding the census in Nemaha County " Mr. J. B. Docker baa been
tendered and has accepted, we believe, the position of compiler
of the returns. For the information and comfort of those who may
find fault with the political complexion of the above list,
we will say that It is intended to accord with the instructions to
the Supervisors from the Census Commissioner, to not adhere
strictly to party in making up the necessary force to take the census.
This being the case, the Advertiser is well satisfied with the
gentlemen named, and so far as we are acquainted with their
business qualifications, they are honest and capable.
Mr. Docker is especially well qualified for the position of compiler, aud his appointment will be universally approved by the people of this county."

"J. B. DOCKER, County Clerk of Nemaha County, came to Brownville in 1867 from Vincennes, Ind.; he was born February 20, 1830, in Shawneetown, Ill. When he was six years of age, his widowed mother removed to Vincennes, where he grew to manhood and engaged in mercantile business. He continued in Brownville as a clerk for Rainey & Lewis. He was, in the spring of 1868, employed by Jonas Hacker in the County Treasurer's office, and remained in this place six years, at the end of which time W. E. Majors appointed him Deputy County Clerk, which office he filled most creditably for six years. November 5,1881, he was elected County Clerk over a Republican and a Democrat, his undisputed qualifications procuring for him the office. Mr. Docker belongs to the A., F. & A. M., the I. O. O. F., the K. of P. and T. of H., he being an active and popular worker in all these lodges. His wife, formerly Minerva Nelson, is the mother of two children--Theodore H. and Vesta N., both born in Brownville. "

Minerva Nelson Docker 1837-1910 is buried in Yavapai County # 42352062.
"Minerva was the wife of Joseph Burch Docker and they were married about 1868 in Nebraska. She was the daughter of John & Minerva (Kirkpatrick) Nelson.
Minerva resided in Arizona 16 years, residing 13 years in Yavapai County."
"The remains of Mrs. J. B. Docker, mention of whose death was
made in Wednesday's issue of the Journal-Miner, were brought to this
city yesterday morning and laid away in the beautiful Mountain View
cemetery. A short time before the end came Mrs. Docker requested
that Prescott be selected as her final resting place and this
consideration was extended. The deceased was well known in this city,
and especially in Jerome. She was an estimable woman and
of a lovable disposition, and universal sorrow will follow the
announcement of her death.
With her husband, she had been a resident of Jerome for the past
ten years, where Mr. Doeker is a trusted employe of the United Yerde,
and who likewise is highly regarded by a large circle of friends
and acquaintances, to whom the community extends its sincere
condolence in the loss of his life-long helpmate.
The estimation in which the deceased was held was feelingly
expressed in the disposition of a special train by the United Verde
company to the funeral party, among whom were the following:
Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Williams, Wesley Cobb, Mrs. J. W. Gebb,
Mrs. T. C. Stone, A. H. Lyons, Miss Bernarda Lyons,
C. H. Butherford, H. I. Russell, Dr. Norman (LATER MARRYING MINERVA'S DAUGHTER)
and others. Services were conducted by Rev. Jenkins of the Episcopal
church, at the Ruffner chapel and at the grave.
The deceased was aged about 72 years, and was a native of
Vincennes, Ind. She is survived by her husband, a son, Fred H. Docker,
the traveling representative of the Garlock Packing company of San
Francisco, who was summoned from Globe, and a daughter,
Miss Vesta T. Docker of Jerome, a social favorite with all.
The pallbearers were Arthur Hendey, M. B. Hazeltine, C. A. Peter,
Jr., T. E. Campbell, A. H. Lyons and J. V. Williams. "
July 1910 "J. B. Docker, whose sad affliction in the loss of his
wife, a short time ago, will be recalled by all residents,
was an arrival from Jerome. Thursday, and will spend a few days in the
city with friends. He is accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Frcd H. Docker,
his son and daughter-in-law, respectively, and his daughter,
Miss Vesta Docker. Mr. Docker, Sr., is with the United Verde Copper
company, in a responsible position, and is favorably known to all
residents in the county. "
Joseph Burch Docker, retired, born Feb 20, 1830 in Illinois,
died at 504 N. Central Avenue in Phoenix on February 23, 1922, to be buried in Prescott, Arizona. No informant was listed. He had only been in Phoenix one year.
February 5, 1922 "Joseph B. Docker, an Arizona pioneer,
passed away on Friday ut the home of his daughter. Mrs. F. C Norman,
504 North Central avenue. Mr. Decker is survived by the daughter in this city
and bv a son. Ted H. Docker of Los Angeles, who is in the city.
The son and daughter will accompany the body to Prescott today where
funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock on Monday afternoon. "
" Funeral services attended by many Arizonans were held here yesterday
for J. B. Docker, for many years a trusted employe of the
United Verde Copper company, which concern he served in several capacities,
but chiefly as a hoist engineer. Among those attending the services,
which were held at Ruffucr's chapel, were Ted Docker, son
of the deceased, and Dr. and Mrs. F. C. Norman, of Phoenix.
Mr. Docker was Mrs. Norman's father. The services were read by Rev.
Alfred W. Nicholls, rector of St. Luke's Episcopal church.
Six prominent citizens of the county acted as pallbearers, M. B. Hazeltine, C. E. Gentry,
Elmer Wells, Joseph Campbell, E. A. Kastner, J. H. Robinson.
Interment took place at Mt. View cemetery.
Mr. Docker died in Phoenix Friday at the age of 91 years,
at the end of a long and useful life, during which he
and his family were known to almost every man in the state.
The body reached Prescott Sunday night. The deceased is survived
by his son and daughter."
THEODORE
Theodore Hill Docker and Aura M. Follin married in Yavapai County on June 18, 1903.
1910 Prescott, Arizona "Mrs. Ted Docker of Los Aneeles has been spending the past week in Prescott as the guest of Mrs. Thos. E. Campbell"
1917 " Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Docker, the former popularly
known in this section as thc traveling salesman of the
Johns-Mandelle Co., of El Paso,
are visiting with friends in Prescott. Mr. Docker is a former resident of Jerome."

Aura F. 35 in Kansas and Mary Louise Docker 15.
1938 Phoenix "Fred H. Docker of Clifton arrived in Phoenix yesterday and will spend several days here on business."
Theodore Hill Docker, husband of Ada, born 1866 at Brownsville,
Nebraska - mother's name unknown, died in Phoenix on March 1, 1937.
He was to be cremated at Greenwood.
Aura M. (Follin) Docker, born October 1876 in Missouri, is buried in Douglas County, Kansas # 5790527.
Horace B. Browning and Mary Louise Docker had William Docker Browning on May 19, 1931 in Pima COunty, Arizona.
" Refugees returning to the United States aboard the exchange ship Gripsholm from the Far East have brought word of the safety of Mrs. H. B. Browning of Phoenix and her two children, Billie, 10, and Michael, 8.
Mrs. Ada Docker, Mrs. Browning's stepmother, said she was in a Japanese detention camp In the Philippines, Her husband, of whom no word has been received, was stationed on Corregidor.
Before her marriage, Mrs. Browning was Mary Lou Docker of Tucson.

VESTA
Vesta Docker and Dr. F.C. Norman married in 1910 in Yavapai County. They're in Phoenix in 1920, Franklin C. 40, and Vesta 38.
" Miss Vesta Docker and Dr. F.C. Norman of Jerome were the
principals in a very pretty wedding last evening, at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Campbell, South Pleasant street.
Rev. Clyde W. Deming of the Marina Street Methodist church officiated.
Mrs. Campbell acted as matron of honor with Mr. Campbell best man.
The wedding party marched into the parlors to the strains of the
wedding march from Lohengrin, Mrs. H. C. Shotwell presiding at
the piano.
A reception and wedding supper followed the nuptials.
Mrs. Norman has been a resident of Jerome several years.
She is a favorite in social circles of the Copper City.
Dr. Xorman enjoys a lucrative practice in Jerome.
He is one of the leading physicians of the place, and with the
charming young woman he now proudly claims as bride,
has hosts of friends, who will join in wishing them bon voyage
on the matrimonial sea. After a short honeymoon tour they will
return to Jerome, where they will reside."
(He had married Minnie Van Valen on April 16, 1903 in Detroit, Michigan.)
December 1918 Phoenix "Mrs. Vesta Norman, wife of Dr. F. C. Norman,
who has been under treatment at the Frederickson sanitarium
on East Fillmore street, was yesterday reported as rapidly recovering.
It is expected she will be able to return to her home on East McKinley
street within the next few days."
Frank C. Norman, born May 10, 1848, a physician, born in Toronto, Ontario, died in Bexar County,
Texas on October 6, 1923. He was to be buried in Mission Park, informant
Robert J. Norman of Fort Worth, Texas.
